@jago_mb I have videos if anyone would like to reach out. I will try to add them to the listing tomorrow morning if it’s not too late. Pictures 105-107 are the control arm bushings below the car and are showing that they are in great condition, not cracked, and crumbing and torn. They are fresh. A properly maintained Mercedes engine hardly loses any HP, especially under 100k miles. I really don’t think getting a dyno for a 268hp car is necessary. It’s not a crazy amount of HP I’m claiming. Thanks for your comment.
@E36W124 please look at pics 105-107. that's what i refer to as a "tear" but i'm not sure what we are looking at there. ps yes you are quoting the out of the box new hp but a 90k mile swap into another car, likely heavier, might tell a different story. you can stand pat on it but you'd get better $$ if more transparent. and i reiterate a video of start and driving would also help.
@Dunlopilo not difficult at all, parts are still available for the C36 which shares engines with this car, and also majority of the parts on this engine are the same as the E320 3.2 engine since it is that same engine but bored out to 3.6 and had some head work by AMG.
@jago_mb 18 inch is definitely the largest wheel I’d put on a W124 so yes I do think some people would think this week is big but I think it’s beautiful.. yes the suspension has been replaced with Mercedes original struts as shown in the pics. Not sure what torn pieces you’re referring to, I don’t see anything torn on the car. This engine is the exact engine in the C36, the HP they produce is very well known and documented at 268hp and 280 tq.
How difficult would it be to get parts for this car when it becomes necessary?
wheels look too big on this car. what is the info on suspension? original? what are the torn pieces shown? clearly i am not a mechanic but a video and a run on the dyno would also be helpful in this presentation. regards, john

@Toni1990 No sir, the Car was put together less than 1k miles ago. the center AC vent barley blows for some reason, seems like most of the air is funneled through the rest of the vents. the AC works and is cold. And the steering wheel has a leather squeak when turning when its super hot out for some reason. sounds like leather on leather contact. When it's not hot out it doesn't make the sound. mechanically, I wouldn't hesitate to drive the car across the country tomorrow.
Any immediate maintenance that needs to be addressed?

Great build! To me, this perfectly embodies the OEM+ theme with the 3.6 adding a touch of retromod flair.
It's not a torque concern on the wheel bolts. Wheels designed for the 140 chassis (and, many newer chassis) use M14 bolts with R14 ball seat radius. If you use an M12 bolt with R12 ball seat on a wheel with R14 seat, there is very little contact area between the R12 ball and R14 seat.
@harry19 that’s very weird. I’ll check the torque on the bolts when I get home from the office today but this is definitely the first I hear of this issue. I know of a few people running them on 500Es as well, no issues.

Thanks for your prompt response! I had a very sketchy experience with these exact wheels on an m12 car. Nevertheless ended up buying new hubs all around and machining out to m14. The m12 hardware would get loose after driving 6-7 miles even after torquing
A Green W124 and it’s a 3.6??!

@harry19 I used the stock W124 Bolts, no spacers needed. The bolt sits in the wheel pocket perfectly and the M12 is what the W124 calls for. Bolts torqued down to 110NM. I understand these wheels were originally for W140 but they have the same hub size, bolt pattern, and offset that sits aggressively on W124, the only remaining factor is how the bolt head sits inside the pocket of the wheel and these bolts I have sit perfectly. Thank you.
@Dunlopilo One of my friends has the V8 E420, and this car dusted that off the line despite them having similar power. I've had plenty of W124s and this is by far my favorite combo, very peppy and still feels like a light car, a feeling you dont get in the V8 124s. as far as MPGs I'm averaging 18-19 mpg between city and highway.
Hi @seller, did you use custom spacers to secure the wheels onto the hubs? Stock w124 wheel hardware are m12 however the w140 aero 2s use m14 hardware. It could get very dangerous if not done correctly.
Great looks! You are a bit far for me to come and test it personally, but could you tell us how it behaves 0-60? And what the average MPG is on this one? Does it have the second wind when at 70 and pressing the pedal?

@edand Forgot to mention the side skirt are original premerger hammer skirts. I will add pictures of the stamps.
Sweet tribute! Seems to be well-done. A few of the 3.6 goodies (e.g. that crossover pipe, the AMG-modified head) are worth a pretty penny on their own, too.
