What a treat! Odd configuration for a "S" class. I picked up a Euro 84 500 SE Lorinser many years ago and thought the US market got the 380 and the rest of the world got the 500 for a V8. Manual windows and only a drivers heated seat. Would love to know the back story on that! Anyway, good luck with the sale, to me, this is the best exterior color for the W126, yes, I'm partial due to mine being the same color.
Do the steering wheel controls still work for the stereo?
Has this been repainted? The finish aside from the clear coat issues has more orange peel that what would have been from the factory. Also, some panel have serous fish eyeing in the paint surface.
Can't believe how little interest this has. Maybe the location is holding bidders back, I know for me it is. If it were in the States I'd be all over it, such a shame.
Boy this is tugging at all the right strings! Just getting to Seattle Washington would be a chore, plus whatever hoops are necessary to title/license it. But I love it!
@animal57listing says four speed manual.
I see aftermarket rear speakers, but no stereo, Is it hidden? Also does the left rear door not fit correctly.
Any idea what the original stereo was that was installed back in 1985 was? Any chance was it kept?
If I recall, this vintage had a driver's airbag. Did you just unplug the dash light, or was the system removed? Also, is that paint overspray on the door panel, seat trim?
Nice car, odd to see the rear seats heated/vented but the fronts are only heated. Our 2000 S500 had front and rear heated vented power seats. Was it not an option in 2005?
