The engine is a 5.4 liter M113, not 5.5. The 55 in the name is just a name. Looking at the engine photo, the engine appears to be tilted to the right of the car. Have the hydraulic engine mounts been replaced ever? This tilt is a symptom of failed mounts - a simple DIY fix or an expensive dealer repair.
That's it for me, but I'm sure the reserve is higher. Good luck!
Guys, I'm sure we will have to do better than this.
I'm glad to see this awesome vehicle back on here. Best of luck with the sale. I'm still very tempted.
Thanks for answering my previous question. On photo #101, I don't know exactly what that part is and don't have time to fire up my WIS/ASRA to identify it. It looks like it has a speedometer cable going in and going out. The cable on the top appears to be cross-threaded. What is the device and does it work?
The gear selector shows 4 forward speeds. The narrative says this is a three-speed. Which is it? If not a 4-speed, why is there a 4-speed gear selector?
Why is there a fake AMG badge on the boot?
Good luck, FrankZ. I'm out. I've already got a 2002 in Obsidian Black...was hoping to add another. Hope you get it!
