I’ve uploaded some pages from my MY98 E-class marketing brochure. Good photography, specifications and features.Pictures of the original dealer brochure included in the sale have been added to the gallery.Loved the one I owned. And it had n o problem getting to 140mph on a trip out West and staying there for a loooong time. One of the best they built. GLWAI daily drive a 1998 mercedes e430 and i absolutely love it. Very reliable car and super comfy. Also it feels like a tank compared to new mercedes. I also have a 1977 mercedes 300d and to be completely honest i almost love the e430 just as much. The e430 also has perfect power i can cruise on the highway going 100 plus mph and it feels like im going extremely slow.@VIGIL Interesting comment about facelifts. Back then I was not a fan of the facelift’s exterior styling changes, the relaxed+rounded front grille and hood detail, the changed rear taillight/back-up lens. I didn’t know about the leather. To add some info about my car, over time I periodically cleaned & treated the leather with leather conditioner, it’s still in excellent condition. In 2022 I reconditioned/polished the headlamp & high-beam lenses with Meguiar’s kit (see photos). At the time I also clayed & waxed the exterior. Very few miles driven since, only in good weather. @axle if you win, and do the long overdue trans service, don't forget to also get a new gasket seal for the part leading up to the shifter tunnel/conductor plate. Might as well do that job while you have the pan and filter out. These gearboxes all need that at this point.$50 bid placed by @Mrengineer

I just checked the MB Service Booklet for guidance. I don’t see mention of this. That aside, your question does make me think it prudent to do so.Nice color, so there has been no transmission fluid changes?
