This Authentic Mercedes-Benz 6/20 PS Model Horn is a genuine factory part from the early 1920's. The seller had the horn researched by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Archive in Stuttgart, Germany. The horn was used on the 6/20 PS models from 1913-1920. Since the logo is from 1921, it was determined that this is a genuine factory replacement part produced in the early 1920's. The rubber bulb on the end is a later replacement and the remaining parts are made from brass. The horn is fully functional and now offered by the seller in Samabor, Croatia with shipping available at the buyer's expense.
The horn is made from brass and shows in excellent condition with no major imperfections. The Mercedes-Benz logo is featured on the end piece and has been determined to be the logo used in 1921 by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Archive.
A photo of the 6/20 PS model this horn would've originally been used for is provided below from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Archive. The rubber bulb on the end has been previously replaced and the horn is fully functional.
A video below shows the horn in detail and fully functioning.

Hello,
Thank you for your question.
Horns from this period were produced with slight variations in shape and curvature, depending on the production series and manufacturer details at the time.
Hi guys,
This horn represents a very rare surviving example from the early automotive era. Many similar items made from this type of material were melted down and repurposed during World War II (WW2) for wartime industry, including the production of cartridge cases for ammunition, which makes surviving examples like this especially rare today.
The correspondence and research conducted with the Mercedes-Benz Classic Archive in Stuttgart can be shared with the winning bidder upon request.
Shipping to the USA is approximately $135 USD. Shipping within Europe is significantly less expensive, while buyers from other countries are welcome to inquire about exact shipping costs.
Thanks!
