This original C124-designated premerger AMG spoiler is offered for sale by the owner in Sweden. It was acquired from a collection of old stock from AMG Sweden. It’s an unfinished and unpainted example that’s never been used or mounted to a car. The owner is including the original box with labels and mounting kit in the sale.
Photos in the gallery show all three pieces of the spoiler along with the box showing the original part number 7880416. The original AMG box is included in the sale along with labels, and AMG-supplied extras. This specific example is designated for the coupe variant of the 124 chassis.

@mickeybharat Hi, unfortunately it's not for a 4 door. It's for the coupe and most likely will fit the convertible.
So you know if it will fit 4 door model ?

Great item, sort of makes me wish I had a car to put this on. To answer the question about the HWA part numbers, that started in late 1991.

@amgpremerger some have it embossed before, some don't...and even post merger not everything gets a stamp. There's no continuity other than discontinuity..:) That much I can at least promise!
@BlueridgeMB Hi and thanks for the info and bid. You're 100% correct - the material is some kind of plastic that has been moulded. We have a collection of premerger NOS parts and we've noticed that the 201 and 124 ducktails do not have any numbers stamped into them but all others do. This must be one of the very earliest as even glue in the box has an expiry date of 1989...lol Can you let us know when AMG started to use HWA numbers? Our understanding is that it's after they merged with MB. Cheers

I've got some period bits floating around the shop here, Coupe at that and they are Not stamped. Also, I've never seen a foam 124 ducktail. Always plastic/fiberglass for anything stick on if you will. Pretty spectacular find IMO, box and all. GLWTA!

@mickeybharat Hi, this spoiler does not have any stamped numbers. It was manufactured before the merge with MB and some early models do not have numbers physically stamped into them. The only part number appears on the original box. To our knowledge it was made for export, not the German market at the time.
Please can you show the AMG part number moulded into the under side of each part?
@OnTheHunt Thanks for the feedback. Here is a link for the model the spoiler is for - https://thembmarket.com/1988-mercedes-benz-6-0-amg-hammer-coupe

This is really cool. You should find and add some images of one installed on a car for point of reference.
