@ralfi 1. der Einkaufspreis ist nicht richtig. 2. Welche VINs? Fotos? 4. Der Wagen kostete 59900€ in 2012, was überhaupt keine Rolle spielt. Ein W201 EVO II kostete auch mal 40000DM gebraucht und es gibt 500 Stück. 5. Der Mindestpreis wurde nicht erreicht. Der Traumwagen bleibt somit in meiner Halle.
@Blue_Skiesthank you.
I would have been very happy to talk to you about my passion on an equal footing. The car came up in 2012 and 2024. 2024 it was online for a half day with 5 serious buyers, but the owner decided to sell me his car, because he knows me since 2016 (technoclassica motorshow in Essen). It's a shame how you presume to judge my life and me. I don't need quick deals, I've been living my passion for 15 years. AMG, Brabus and rare Mercedes models have touched my heart for as long as I can remember. We both know exactly what you meant with your first comment. I wish you all the good things that money can't buy. Best regards, Tino
@Herr_Flickplease write again why AMG "never" put a M119 into the A124. Your comment started with "haha". Yes, I am born in Germany, I live in Germany and I am degreed engineer thanks to Germany, but I have enough of the negative vibes and half-truth stated as facts in Germany. Everything that starts with "haha" is good? Google my name, find out my number, then you can call me, tell me the name of the senior technician, explain me exactly why an A124 and M119 can't or couldn't be combined and then we meet for a test drive.
@Redneck24 how would you react if someone who never drove your car is speaking half-truths from an AMG meeting with a "senior technician". Brabus did a lot of things AMG never did. W124 V12, W204 V12 etc. You can ask guys like Bernard Marijanovic how good the W124 7.3S holds its temperature even in the summer with traffic jam. I hate the negativity of germans and it wasn't even true about the price. This car has a weight of 1950Kg, which is 60Kg more than a regular SL60 AMG has. You can see that there is a lot of reinforcements invested for the stiffness and 408HP makes a big difference compared to 272HP. I drove the car with opened top, we parked it half on the sidewalk to check how good the doors open or close. When someone writes half-truths and thinks he is a God of information I have enough. All around the discussion boards you can find tons of opinions from people who never owned or even drove the cars they talk about. Saying that AMG never built an A124 with M119 is not true. Even this discussion here does only one thing, it puts negativity about me and my car. If someone wants to know how it drives, sent an experienced mechanic or inspector to me! Everything can be arranged. I drove a few hundred kilometers with the car and I checked it myself because of the big amount of money we paid for it. Did he test drive my car? Did the previous owner told him the car doesn't drive well? Do you think a multi millionaire in the 90ies (almost billionaire) would pay 390000DM for a car and keep it 15 years, if it drives bad or makes squeeze noises? Do you think it? Brabus did high-end conversions. Try to look how AMG put the M117/9 engine into the W126 (with M119 heads) and check the surfaces around the downpipes. This A124 conversion is An A++ body work! An original E500 front wall, transmission tunnel and crossbar is used! The ECUs are placed into the E500 housing with active cooler and original M119 wiring harness. They used the SL600 brakes and discs in order to get spare parts easily for the services at each Mercedes Dealer. If someone wants to know more about the car, he or she can ask me and not someone who told to someone who thinks he knows something... cheers
@refusednamebut I drove this Brabus 6.0 several 100 Kilometers and I can say, that they reinforced everything, that it has excellent stiffness and weight distribution. Using original E500 front parts the engine moved down and closer to the front window. The battery in the trunk and the higher weight of the differential are improving the weight distribution. The german title shows up a weight (with driver and full gas tank) of 1950Kg, which is just 60Kg more than a SL60 AMG has. Bringing this together you can be pretty sure that they did their job and the car drives 270kph!
@refusednameit's the same question why Mercedes didn't built a 500E wagon? The production number would be too low. AMG did cars like this. There are S140 wagons, E60 AMG convertibles and S124 E60 AMG wagons. They also have A140 convertible based on C140 co-worked with Karmann in Osnabrück (where I live). Most of these cars went to Brunei. Here you can see a very interesting video about the collection of the Sheikh: https://youtu.be/dNhXo1uwyco?si=oG6iNgtplCs5i6DV BTW Brabus built also a well running Brabus 6.9 W124 V12 with M120 based on an E500. They also built a Brabus 7.3S based on W124 E500, what AMG never did. Another crazy cool car is the Brabus 6.5 based on R170 SLK. Imagine 450HP in a SLK, which has a super short wheel base. Brabus nailed it in the 90ies!
@luckytruckI owned a 400E in 2007 for a few years. I really regret having sold it. The M119 is my all time favorite V8. I am happy that I still own my 1991 500E since 2011! W124 are awesome anyway.
@dean_Laumbachthank you very much. Yes, the car and its history are a must have for enthusiasts with bigger budgets. The 1st owner was one of them and I appreciate his taste. I love the understatement. No logos, no badges, no visible exhaust. This is unique.
@Herr_FlickAMG built two E60 AMG convertible for the Sheikh of Brunei. There is a YouTube video where can see it and yes, Brabus did a great job.
@edandit is a big story around it. The code 957 is factory ordered. Receiving his E36 AMG he noticed that the 272HP weren't enough, so he decided to go to Brabus for a big upgrade with absolute perfection. Everytime a key battery was empty he bought a whole key. I am very impressed about its detailed history and invoices.
@R129hoarder I will support him or her with a closed transport to Bremerhaven (our next port) and the export declaration.
@floman the AMG conversion was a factory order (no pre merger). Code 957! When he received his car, he noticed that the 272HP weren't enough. Crazy story
@HowardMthank you. It is absolutely awesome what Brabus created. The perfection of their work is undescribable. The body has perfect stiffness, there are no squeezy noices or anything else. It is impressive how expensive it was in 1995. You could have bought a S600L and SL600 or two Ferrari F355 with money left for something else. Unbelievable!
@AVL70"The owner notes the ladder frame was replaced with an older frame in 1997 due to luxury taxes in Norway. " In the middle of the description it is visible! When the car moved to Norway they chose to change the frame in order to avoid the ultra high luxury taxes for a 6.0L V8 luxury car. It is very common in this period to have a frame change , but we have all documentation including the purchase contract from Germany to Norway with only 60.000 km
@MercedesDadHi 460 chassis change is approved in the title and the title matches the frame vin number, so no issue with import First date of registration 31.12.1980 The AMG certificate and the Mercedes garage invoices use the W463 VIN. All title docs contain the actual 460 VIN. The frame replacement is documented with papers from 1997.
@BO55Hi. It never ever had one. The conversion includes the 6.0L AMG M117 V8 engine (AMG technikpaket). Even the AMG wheels were later mounted. This is a german car tuned by AMG Affalterbach, not an AMG Japan car! The 1st owner chose to keep the original look.
@rattytubesHello again. There is nothing to convert to get it street legal. I prepared a link of the shipping company I work with. There you can read everything you need to know. https://cfrclassic.com/international-car-shipping/car-imports-your-guide-to-the-25-year-rule/
@rattytubes Hello. The car is located in Quakenbrueck, Germany. The distance to the next port in Bremerhaven is around 100 miles. I will do a closed transport to the port without any additional fees for the buyer. The buyer pays the container and as far as I know 2.5% import fees in the US (Car is over 25 years old).
