@OnTheHuntThanks for pointing that out! That's a type-O...the mileage is 65K. Please see the instrument cluster picture which corroborates with the listing title as well as the quick facts info.
@mercedesmikeThe Avantgarde badge is not stock of course. As we mentioned in the description the previous owner de-badged to avoid racing challenges. We imagine this would've been part of that strategy. That's a wrap on that trim above the rear plate.
@mercedesmikeYes it is an alcantara replacement. The rear airbags and front struts are Arnott
Hey folks! We're pretty close to our reserve right now so to add a little excitement we've just lowered it. Good luck!!
@MbenzaddictThanks for commenting! We will get a paint meter on it ASAP. We made sure everything was working as expected before we submitted the listing and would be happy to set up an in person inspection.
Congratulations to @grb1 on the win!
Hey everyone! We're entering the final 8 hours of the auction..been a fun one so far! We had the crew here at MB Market upload some more photos that were requested, as well as a compression test & cold start video. We will be around all day for anyone that has questions!
@grb1Hello, we honestly don't know when the car was imported.. we would expect sometime in the mid to late 80's. We have a receipt from the now defunct local MB dealer from 1990 so thats where we base that guesstimate. The cluster was replaced whenever they federalized the car, and no paint readings were taken as the current owner planned on keeping it at the time of the correction & ceramic coat.
@MrKlomfar460Yes there has been a few mechanical things that had to be taken care of. The maintenance records are at the end of the gallery
@Deltapl Thank you! It really is a beautiful example. The interior is so unique and matches so perfectly! Haven't seen many 107's with it
@SamSlThe conversion took place within the past year. The documentation is viewable in the gallery now. We are sending over the photos that you've requested as well. Should be up in a little bit.
@Carsonjr Yes you may, but we will be out of town briefly this weekend, so we will get in contact /text you on Monday morning. Thank you!
@SamSlWe did a drier, compressor, and pressure switch as well as converted it to R134a. We requested the MB Market to put the records we supplied into the gallery. And yes, it blows nice and cold! A must for a Florida car.
@DradisContactI just heard from the owner and he informed me he does in fact have a hard top in storage. He forgot about it as he never put it on the car since he purchased it. We will get some photos of it when he gets back into town on Monday. Thanks!
@DradisContactThank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, the car does not come with a hard top.. As for any paint work being done, we don't know. If there was any done in the life of "Little Red", it wasn't done by us or the current owner. The paint correction we did included a machine buff with various compounds (We use Rupes buffing and polishing compounds as well as their buffers), polished, then ceramic coated. It has 4 or more years left on it as it sits indoors and doesn't really ever see the direct sun.
Hello everyone - thank you all for bids! While we didn't hit our reserve, we got close and it was very exciting there towards the end. Thanks again and huge thank you to the team here for being great as always!
@benzgardenIt is standard on all the Euro market SEC's, early and late. Seems like a lot of people took them off or they simply eroded and fell off. We have another Euro SEC on our property that is an 1984 and it has the same sticker - and the two US market 560's we have do not have it. I will happily supply video proof as well.
@benzgarden Not sure what makes you think it's a reproduction, but it is the original cluster, preserved the way we found it. This car spent its life in doors so it isn't entirely uncommon for them to still be bright. It is possible that the original owner had them painted long before we purchased it, but it was not done while we've owned it.
@DeeBlock We will be submitted some photos of your request momentarily and they will be uploaded here shortly after. Thx.
@TheAMGKitWe will be submitted some photos of this momentarily and they will be uploaded here shortly after. Thx.
@AMG5pt4 Thank you for the kind words. We don't know whether the wood was refinished or not, the interior is the way we found it - minus the stereo bits we upgraded.
@DeeBlock Yes we can do that for you. Photos will be submitted either today or tomorrow. Thx.
@STARGAUDThank you for editing your original comment. We will submit some more photos of that. For reference, photos 319, 320 and 321 show the fuel pack.
@TheAMGKitThank you! As much as we wish it had AMG cams, it does not. The car runs perfectly and didn't warrant taking the fuel system apart, so it remains untouched. As for the guides, we didn't plan on it - but if the new owner requests it, we will gladly do it. The Pentas are 16x8 front 16x9 rear.
@AvvocatoEverything electrical works as it should - radio works and is brand new - gauges are clearly working in the driving video. We're located in Florida and do not have DMV inspections so that is up to the buyer to figure out if it'll pass state emissions. The chassis was absolutely not painted, it is completely original. We pressure washed off all the years of grime and that is what was underneath. The car sat in a garage and then a warehouse for most of its life so its perfectly preserved. We also purchased it without any of the original literature or any paperwork. We're a small family owned Mercedes specialty shop and yes, we are a dealer, but it isn't our primary gig. We will be willing to help with title work and arraigning shipping to whomever wins the auction.
@xmaster35The Sacco boards have not been touched, maybe just the angle of the photos? The tweeters were done by the previous owner, they were ADS tweeters that did not work, so we replaced them with the MB Quart units. We did not repaint the car, not entirely sure where you got that from. The car has zero rust, please be sure to go through all the photos. We will assume that yes the MEC Exhaust can be registered in Germany as it was manufactured in Germany by a German company. We are in contact with them and they frequently comment on our Instagram page so we can reach out to them to confirm that. As for the Recaro seats, they were in the car when we found it.
@BoostinIt had the AMG body kit and bits already on it, and unfortunately we do not have any of the federalization paperwork. We believe the original owner passed away and his estate/family sold the car to our friend. We will send in some photos of where the stamps are, but unfortunately whoever installed the kit back in the day sanded them of the rear wing and the front bumper spoiler - front one is faintly there - and rear bumper spoiler. The areas where they were is clearly defined. The AMG plate behind the side cladding is there and I just sent over photos to the MB Market team to add them to the listing. We are 1000% confident they are authentic AMG parts. As for the differential, the gearing is 1:2.24.
Hello everyone - welcome to the auction of our 500SEC! Just wanted to give a little back story on it. We found it tucked away in one of our local parts suppliers warehouse, were it had been sitting for a little while after he had purchased it from the original owner. As per the CarFax, the car basically sat in storage for most of its life. After buying it, we were very excited as you'd imagine and purchased the Elbe headers and MEC Design exhaust. After installing them, our repair/restoration business absolutely blew up with business, so we had to put the car in storage for 8-9 months. After deciding to sell it, we ended up spending 150 hours detailing and paint correcting the car and getting it ready for its next home. We will be using the funds to further expand our business, as well as build something pretty wild and fun. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or request videos/photos of something that may have been missed. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
@batman76 The car has Mercedes OE Pirelli P-zero summer performance tires
Hello all - Just a quick update on the status of the car, Its perfectly fine, ZERO damage, not a scratch or a drop of water. We're all safe and sound, shop all good as well. The auction was extended until Tuesday so we can have time to deal with our personal homes and not have to worry about it ending. Again, the CLS is safe and sound!
Brake pads are 5mm front, 4mm rear - plenty of life left. Rotors are good, no groves or abnormal wear. Tires are Pirelli P-Zero's showing 8mm tread left on front, 7mm tread left on rear. Date codes are 2018. It drives great, I had supplied a driving video to @thembmarket so I will reach out to them to have them post it on here.
Welcome to the auction of our beautiful CLS400, previously owned by one of our longest, best customers. He purchased it for his late wife, and we took it on trade. Stunning color combo, looks absolutely amazing in all lighting. We are readily available to answer any questions, comments or concerns, just hit the message seller button up top or tag us in a comment! GLTA!
Awesome photos, equally awesome example of a C63 Black.. cool to see some rollers in an auction! May have to borrow that idea! GLWTA!
Wouldn't be a pre-merger AMG without a story about a little Colombian marching powder! Beautiful example, gonna bring the big bucks!
Might have to snag these for my w211 E55! What a beautiful set of wheels
Stunning W123! We've seen this car around town and its gorgeous. Good luck with the sale!!
@gimiconThe car went to a very reputable local shop for a pre-purchase inspection at the request of the buyer. The shop passed the car with flying colors, and they only noticed slight seepage on the differential, which we immediately dropped out and resealed it at no cost to the buyer. We offered to order the door latch and ship to him at no cost, and find a reputable independent Mercedes shop to install. He stopped answering our messages and never reached back out to us.
@gimiconThanks for the kind words, and we’re sorry to hear that about the silver example. We’d love to see an itemized list of what exactly is wrong and what’s being replaced. We’d be interested in seeing what the dealership is trying to get you to do, and are we willing to fix whatever you need on that car. Please get in contact with us at the shop.
@Alex210Thank you very much! Today is the day everyone! Happy bidding, this incredible beast goes to a new owner today!
@abuttererit has both dynamic and massage functions, and both work perfectly.
@W210E55 Thanks for the kind words, and we're happy to hear the E55 is still ripping up the roads for you! We loved that thing and are happy knowing you're keeping up with it.
@zachmacThank you for the kind words, Zach! Pierre holds W220's very near and dear to his heart. He has a 2006 S65 that is his weekend toy, and uses it as a daily when he doesn't drive his M35A3 Deuce and a half to the shop, which is a sight! Good luck on bidding, let us know if you have any questions about this monster!
@MBstyleThank you for the kind words! We really appreciate it, and we're honored to hear that we come across as the "Godfathers" of AMG.. We truly do love these incredible machines, and we're happy to hear that our passion for them comes across clearly! Sorry to hear about your experience with ABC Suspension, its very sad to hear that some shops/techs don't take the time to learn the system so people that have vehicles with ABC can enjoy it. You're totally right, these cars do need to be driven to keep them alive, and they honestly should be enjoyed and not stashed away.. at least in our opinion! For ABC suspension, doing a full flush every 10k miles, or every year, would be optimal. We've heard of a few examples that still have their original accumulators in them by doing yearly ABC services. (Technically accumulators have a 10 year life span, so keep that in mind) Yes, its costly, but in the long run it will save you from the headache of having to replace ABC pump, and the two valve blocks.. If the valve blocks have dirty fluid in them for long periods of time, that's when you see cars start leaning and sagging. As for the car maybe going to Europe..We could always help out and try to find a very reputable shop in your area that can take care of the ABC system for you! We can talk for hours about this stuff so we'll cut it there, but thank you all for looking and good luck to everyone!
Hi do you have any undercarriage pics?
Beautiful car, do you have any undercarriage photos?
This 129 is beautiful in person! We’re good friends with the seller and have seen this car, it’s a beautiful machine and very well maintained. Good luck to all!
@gimiconThe reserve was met at the literal last second, congratulations to for winning the auction! HUGE thanks to all the bidders, all the commenters, and everyone that looked! We will be back again soon!
@GullwingThank you for the kind words, much appreciated. We live and breathe Mercedes so we're happy that's what comes across!
@gimiconIt is 1,000% original from the factory. No paint work, no restoration, no new glass or anything of the sort.
@gimiconAll original paint and glass, the car enjoyed an air conditioned garage for the past few years of its life as well so it is in beautiful shape. Happy bidding everyone! Just a few more hours to go!
@gimiconNot a problem, it is absolutely understandable. That is exactly the reason why we do what we do. We stand behind every car we service or sell, and wouldn't feel right selling a lemon to someone. We make the cars perfect and safe so that we'd feel comfortable having our own grandmothers drive them across country!
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. To answer the past few questions, the car is equipped with ABC Suspension from factory, not AirMatic. ABC runs off hydraulic fluid, AirMatic is, as you all guessed it, air. This example has zero issues with the suspension, we did a little over $12k in servicing the car, including the entire ABC system. As for the leather, that appears to be dust spots or something in the video because the seats (front and back) are flawless. I will email over additional photos to the MB Market team to add to the listing. Thanks again and good luck to everyone bidding!
@Mark66usmcWe would absolutely love to take care of your S600, we know them very very well. We're located in sunny Sarasota, around 45 minutes south of Tampa. Please send us a private message on here so I can send over our contact information, Thank you!
Thanks to everyone who has placed bids so far and for the kind comments! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Good luck to all the bidders, you're bidding on a very very clean, exceptionally maintained titan of the highways..All comments welcome, let us know if there are any specific areas you'd like photos of, or any questions about this S55! Thanks a million!
