A video showing the functioning of the vacuum system and door locks would be helpful as well as a demonstration of the SLS. After 17 years there will be some significant maintenance items requiring attention to make sure this beauty is running as it should.

If there was an award for the best wagon design then this would win hands down. That sweeping rear glass and taillight design is so good! Even the chrome roof rack looks mint on this one.
This car happened to be local to me and I've known the last owner (who's owned the car since 2007) for a few years now. We were introduced through his mechanic. His collection of diesel Benzes is a site to behold. All have been kept in a climate controlled garage with battery tenders including this one which may very well by my personal favorite. In preparation for the auction, I had the opportunity to take the photos for the listing and drive the car. It drives phenomenally with silky smooth shifts and a healthy diesel chug. This is easily one of the cleanest S123 wagons left in the world today. The way the car is presented is exactly how it's been kept for years. Bid with confidence!

The best version of the 123 chassis: 1985 wagon with no rust, records, and low mileage. Excellent example and kudos to seller for proper presentation.
Rear seat headrests did not come with car unless optioned w 3rd seat.
Goodness this thing is clean! There's no question this car was treated right to be in this nice of condition.
In any case, the wrong thermostat is installed. The temperature does not go above 70 degrees. However, this should be around 84 degrees, so the pointer width is above 80
I have the books and maintenance booklet that came with the delivery when it was new as well as the original Becker tape head cleaner. Delivered at Dominick Motor co in Charlottesville Va on July 10 1985 to a customer in Richmond Va. The early services are marked in the original maintenance book and were performed in Charlottesville and Richmond through 1999 later services are documented in attached paperwork. No rear headrest or shade are with the wagon. The radio works well as do the power windows and antenna. The Virginia inspection covers brakes ,tires, headlights, and all safety related items. I can try to test the A/C compressor in the shop on Monday. Having been stored all these years the overall condition is really impressive.
Please also answer questions if rear headrests, shade and cargo net are available and any original sales paperwork. Thank you.
Thanks for posting the videos. It appears the tach is not working and clock may be slow. There was no demo of radio, antenna, horn, lights, windows, seats, etc. working. It would be helpful to show all those working or not since no state inspection in many years. AC can be run as weather has improved. Would appreciate knowing what does and does not work before bidding on this good looking wagon. Thanks again.
Good morning , thanks for the interest in this great Mercedes wagon. It has been in a private collection locally. It was stored in a heated garage and only driven occasionally. It has lived its life in Virginia. The paint appears to be original with the exception of a small area around the rear antenna . The chrome and brightwork are in exceptional shape without corrosion or pitting. The interior is all original and shows little to no wear. There are extensive service records available. It has recently had an oil change and inspection performed. It drives and handles well. No mechanical issues I'm aware of. Its been too cold to run the A/C . No visible leaks . Power windows and accessories all work normally. Inspection are welcome

Videos have been uploaded showing a walk around, interior view, and driving footage of the car.
Per your CarFax there are no records since 2010 and very few miles added in the last 17 years. Please explain the history of this car and if it was in long term storage. Please also state if this has all original paint or has been repainted. Thank you.
Thank you for posting real photos here unlike other sellers using programs that enhance photos to obscure and hide known defects and make the paint and chrome look much better than reality.
Can you please send any videos of cold start and show all functions working? Are there rear seats, headrests and cargo net / shade? Is there anything like A/C, Radio, Antenna, Gauges, electric seats, sunroof or windows, etc. not working? Are there any known accidents or paint work? Do you have the original manuals and any original paperwork / bill of sale, brochures or title? Thank you.
what a beauty. does it come with head rests for the rear seat? whats the status on a/c, mechanical issues?
