This 1998 Mercedes-Benz E320 4Matic Wagon was originally sold in Japan and was imported into the United States in 2023 by the selling dealer. Features include heated seats, a glass power sunroof, xenon headlights, black birds eye maple wood, a folding third row, automatic climate control, and power windows, locks, and wing mirrors. Finished in Neve White (143), this long-roof example shows original body panels and factory tinted blue glass all around. Features include xenon headlamps, fog lights, a power glass sunroof, roof rails, and a rear window wiper. The seller notes a small spot of corrosion at the bottom of the rear glass on the hatch below the wiper blade. Road rash is visible on the rear quarter panels directly in front of the rear wheels. The original "Mercedes-Benz Japan" sticker is attached to the rear side glass and the front fenders feature turn signals. The sport-trimmed door pillars are in excellent condition and a scrape on the rear bumper under the passenger taillight can be seen in the photos.
This E320 wagon wears factory original 5-hole Merak wheels wrapped in Michelin Primacy HP tires measuring 215/55 on all four corners with 2012 date codes. The rear features a full-size spare wheel and tire along with the factory tool roll.
The cabin is trimmed in Anthracite Leather (201) across the seats, door cards, head rests, shift knob, and armrest. All leather surfaces are reported to be original and nicely kept. Yanase floor mats are currently fitted along with a Mercedes-Benz branded rear trunk mat. Black birds eye maple wood adorns the center console, dashboard, and upper door cards. The seller notes the wood is free from any cracks as well as the dashboard. Additional amenities include heated front seats with memory function, automatic climate control, and a Panasonic head unit. An aftermarket Japanese GPS system is also installed and mounted to the center console. The headliner is noted to be sagging in the rear.
The digital odometer shows 48,500 kilometers (~30k miles) original miles. Instrumentation includes a 260-kph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and a digital odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature and a digital clock. The gauge cluster screen show no signs of failing LCD pixels and functions properly.
The 3.2-liter M112 V6 was rated at 221 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired with a 722.6 automatic five-speed transmission sending power to all four wheels via 4Matic. Underbody photos have been provided in the gallery. Service in preparation for the sale includes an A/C service, state inspection, and oil change.

Additional photos have been added to the gallery including all factory literature and service receipts.
I was able to locate the original owner's manual which includes all factory literature for the car along with the stamped service booklet from the dealer and all service records. The additional keys are also present and pictured now. Total there are two original key fobs and one valet key. Pictures have been added to the gallery. Thanks and happy bidding!
@BlueridgeMB Thank you for your time as well. I would recommend replacement of the tires since they do show older date codes. We decided to leave them so the new owner can choose tires of their choice and also helps support the mileage. Upon close inspection of the rear bumper, the area you're referring to appears to be two indented lines which I suspect likely happened during shipping from Japan. There are no cracks in the bumper but it does have the indentations. The dog ears in front of the rear wheels on each side originally came with a clear bra which over time has been removed. I was able to remove the residue that you see in the pictures with my thumb so that should all come off with a proper detail. We did service the AC and it works wonderfully. The caps for the hi and low for some reason are missing as you pointed out but can be easily screwed back on, thanks for catching that. I'm not sure how much refrigerant was recovered or added unfortunately but it held a vacuum for an extended period with no issues. I've provided some pictures of the compressor to show it appears very clean and tidy. It was likely already replaced at some point. Pictures should be in the gallery now.

Good looking wagon! Cool to see the avantgarde spec stateside. I don't think you could get the birds eye maple wood in the states unless you got an AMG, which of course we couldn't get as a wagon here either.

Thanks for taking my call today, just to recap, looks like we'll need a set of front 4 Matic axles, or ideally re-build these since Mercedes axles are NLA last I checked. Plus a set of tires since these are cracking/dry rotted...and it does appear the listing states a date code of 2012! Appreciate you getting back to me on the paint meter readings quickly as you did. Curious, we spoke of the rust around the rear window, but also looking harder I see what looks to be a repair in the rear bumper on the passenger side, just to the right of the rear hatch? Any chance of an Up Close photo showing what's going on there and perhaps your best guess as to all that's showing? The dog leg in front of the drivers rear wheel, I see a detail shot, but can you perhaps describe what's going on there? Looks like there is similar happenings on the passenger side, albeit to a much lesser extent. Have the AC schrader valve caps been found? They are actually part of what's required to keep refrigerant in the system. The schrader is not the final solution when it comes to it all. Any notes on when the AC was serviced? How much refrigerant was recovered, how much added? A few shots with the flash/pushing focus onto the compressor would be great, would be good to see that it's dry of any oil indicative of a leak, especially behind the clutch/pulley. Thanks again! Will watch this space:)

would there be any issues registering this in CA?
It has a clear Tennessee title. Paint looks to be original with no signs of paint work.

Do you have a VA title?
I personally drove this car for over a month because it's so comfortable. It drives as nice as it looks..

@210grim Wow, thanks for correcting me. I had no idea. That’s cool that it’s a stock treatment. I wonder if the wagon could be ordered that way?
@GregF Those exterior side pillars are OEM from MB. Same treatment that the E55's got stateside. They look to be nearly perfect which is very rare to see as most are harshly faded by now. I agree this is a really cool spec and I love the custom carpet mat in the cargo area!

I don’t care for the appliqué treatment on the exterior pillars or aftermarket head units, but those minor quibbles aside there is a LOT to like here. This is the lowest mileage W210 wagon I’ve ever seen. Should do well👍
