I love my Green on Green 987S too. I'm just having some fun 😁.
Well... I was right about the new member part.
@zachmacLooks like the Pcar folks do exist over here.
@zachmac - Happy to see a darkhorse roll through, but I got my money on the new guy. :) @stuttgart_steel - I'll be buying one of your cars soon. I'm sure of it. Now I'm headed out to enjoy my R129 and my W126 to get over the heartbreak of defeat.
Enjoy @NguyenLong2010. I see you created this account to buy this car. Welcome to the community, friend.
@LaurentiuD - Are you ready to sell this thing yet? I want it when you do. :)
@masinos65 - In photo 21/51, does there happen to be a piece of electrical tape over the warning lights? In 124's it's common for these lights to be tough to turn off even after fixing the associated issue, and folks will tape over them for the "out of sight, out of mind" comfort.
@masinos65 - Understood. Thanks for the clarification.
@masinos65 - Thanks for the photos. Do the headlight windshield wipers work? Will you be posting a driving video? Also, is there a reason you won't share the inspection report with the public? That is something that is vital to our community when it comes to making purchasing decisions. Best, Nick
Hello @masinos65. Do the headlight windshield wipers work? Can we get some underbody photos and a driving video? Any current oil leaks?
@PVNY - Thank you for the elaborate response! No need to go through the trouble of removing the wheel. I was just trying to figure out whether I'd need to replace them for a fly-in/drive home trip if they were the originals from 2009. Glad to know they were replaced within the last couple years.
What are the date codes on the tires? I had trouble seeing them from the close-up wheel photos.
Oh hell yeah! Can't wait to cruise around Cincinnati in this!
@Armenian - Yeah you caught me hahaha! I can't help myself sometimes. Thank you for taking the time to explain that for me. It definitely helped. I just really love the M272(when it isn't affected by the lower quality metal balance shaft) and was hoping for a loophole.
As a guy who loves the combustion engine, I wonder if this car can be used without the battery/hybrid setup? Is it possible, that when the battery does fail, that you can remove it and use the car as just a good old M272 V6 with no issue? Or will the car's computer/ecu not allow for this? If it is possible to drive as a pure ICE, I'm all in on this beautiful sled.
Does anyone in the community have a rough estimate of what it costs to repaint this in a different color?
