The temptation is very real!
If I needed a car I'd be alllllll over this. Beauty of an E class diesel!
I had the same model. One of the best cars I have owned. This one is much cleaner. I actually got 33-34mpg at 75mph. Small diesel leaks, easily fixed. That is all I had to replace during three years of ownership. Good luck.

No visible leaks extensive records show regular oil and filter intervals as well as fuels replaced. No record of trans service.
Is there any leaks under car/garage floor from vehicle? Has the transmission or rear differential ever been serviced?
I will get some pictures underneath. I will do a checklist on all the windows and radio electronics etc. The recent virginia state inspection verified all safety equipment working normally
Does everything work on the vehicle? Can you provide undercarriage photos.

Everything under the hood appears to be original, including the glow plugs with no visible oil or fluid leaks. The tires are Michelin MXV4 and are in like new condition despite the age. This Mercedes was stored in a climate controlled garage, so the rubber trim and tires are not sun damaged.

Mark have the original glow plugs been changed? If not these often seize in the engine and can break when trying to remove. Also, are you willing to change the 10 year old tires?
@benzwishes The most recent service performed includes an oil change, Virginia state inspection, new air filter, hood struts and a new fuel shut off seal. The car has been stored inside for years and is in really good shape. I'm confident glow plugs are in good shape and a driving video including startup is uploaded. Thanks

Seller- would you consider Replacing ALL of the Glow plugs prior to sale? Just because they have never been done... and they are Prone to getting stuck when NOT done over long periods of time.
