what size tires are on those wheels? Any rips / tears in the seats? The pass seat looks a little well worn
Does this era G wagon share a lot of the same parts with the sedans of the same era?
How are the brakes and headliner? What will the truck need next work wise (other than tires)
@static50 so the $250 and $10,000 bid has the same net effect and result. You’re playing chess man lol
@static50 low bids early in the auction aren't hard to figure out. Why would you want to raise the price too quick early in the auction? From a buyers perspective, that makes no sense. If my max bid for this car is $50,000 why would I start with that?
Also, can you confirm the date code on the tires? I see on the carfax you had some put on in 2017 so hopefully those have been replaced recently
I saw the ABC light was on in the paperwork. What was the end result of that? Has the COMMAND unit been replaced?
If I needed a car I'd be alllllll over this. Beauty of an E class diesel!
Does it currently need any work done? AS FAR AS YOU KNOW, could it be driven from Illinois to New Orleans?
I'll just say this from my personal experience with MaxCare...your local CarMax is going to "politely" request you take vehicles like this, Range Rovers and Porsches to the dealer. From there, again, personal experience, the dealer is going to put you in the back of the line because MaxCare doesn't REMOTELY pay their shop hourly rate. I had a Range Rover Sport in the shop for 87/90 days one time and the dealer basically called me a peasant and told me he'd call me. So, will it get fixed - yes. Was my experience from the dealer side of things good - not really. If you haven't already, google Doug Demurio and MaxCare Range Rover. I suspect Doug got special treatment but you'll get a feel for how the warranty works.
if memory serves thats about $175 per corner. Got it...thank you
what size tires are on the car now?
Other than new tires, what does the car need? How's the suspension and brakes?
How are the shock/suspension?
Does this model have the sensotronic brake system? I think Mercedes started putting them in the E class in 2003 but want to be sure
These cars are absolutely under appreciated. Ive got the darn near the same car in the same shape with twice the miles which tells me they hold up well. I get about 30 mpg in mixed city and hwy driving. It's not the fastest car on the road but it'll get you from point A to B in a stylish manner. Lastly, it's a 22 yr old car...it'll need some love from time to time but parts are CHEAP so they are a great value. The new owner is going to LOVE this car
Stolen. Under $10k for a car like this is one of the best results (for the buyer) Ive seen all year on auction sites. Enjoy it @proyard...If I didn't buy a w202 a few weeks ago I would have been in the mix for this beauty!
