This 2006 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI was sold new to its one and only owner in July 2006 with whom it remained for over 16 years and 65k miles. Finished in Pewter Metallic (723) over Stone MB-Tex (135), power is provided by a turbocharged 3.2-liter inline-six diesel engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes heated power adjustable front seats with memory, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, an electric rear sun blind, a Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system, and COMAND with DVD navigation. Recent maintenance includes a Virginia state inspection, an engine oil and oil filter change, and new rear brake pads. This E320 CDI is now offered with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Virginia title.
The exterior is finished in Pewter Metallic (723) and features a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, auto-dimming side mirrors, fog lights, and a garage door opener. Two black pinstripes run the length of the car along the shoulder line. The exterior is in good condition with no rust or damage present on the body.
Factory 16” double five-spoke alloy wheels wear Michelin Premier all-season tires measuring 225/55 on all four corners and show 2017 date codes. Blemishes on the wheels are noted and can be seen in the gallery. The rear brake pads were recently replaced by the selling dealer.
The cabin comes upholstered in Stone MB-Tex (135) with leather seat inserts and matching beige floor mats. Burl Walnut wood trim can be found lining the center console, dashboard and door panels and presents in good condition with no signs of cracking or discoloration. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with three-position memory. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, COMAND with DVD navigation, a Harman Kardon surround sound system with a 6-disc CD changer, an electric rear sun blind and a power adjustable steering column linked to the driver side memory controls.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer which sits alongside a 5k-rpm tachometer, analog clock and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A configurable digital display is mounted in the center along with a digital odometer which reads just over 65k miles.
This W211 sedan is powered by a turbocharged 3.2-liter inline-six diesel engine which is factory rated at 201 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance performed by the selling dealer includes an engine oil and oil filter change along with a Virginia state inspection.
This E320 CDI shows just one owner from new and comes with linear mileage updates as well as regular service visits on the Carfax report. No accidents or damage reports are shown.
Diesel-powered daily drivers offer many benefits over their gasoline counterparts including strong low end torque, increased fuel economy and heroic range. Unfortunately for us American shoppers, the diesel sedan has largely been eliminated from the new car market. When looking back to the greatest hits of diesel-powered sedans, the E-class stands out for its long legacy of providing reliable, diesel-powered transportation. The W211 features the mighty OM648 which outputs nearly 400 lb-ft of torque while still delivering over 30 mpg on the highway. Over the years and miles, many of these cars have seen plenty of abuse, but this example sure is an exception! With just one owner and 65k miles on the clock, this E320 CDI was very well cared for throughout its life and will provide the perfect daily driver for a Mercedes enthusiast looking to take advantage of diesel ownership.

@seller I currently own two of these cars (CDI), a garage queen with 100K on the OD was dealer maint. and in the last year has needed motor/trans mounts, glow plugs/module, fabric pulling away from the door pockets, etc.. The second one (outside car) has needed headliner, climate control/blower motor, glow plugs/module, SBC (at dealership for this right now). I understand your comment "those on this website know" but unless you've actually owned a W211 and only go by the E320-CDI is the end-all of MB cars, though they are great cars, they are not without their own set of problems regardless of them being garage kept, dealer maintained or not because they were built on the W211 platform. Do a search and you'll see. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/46060-summary-w211-problems-fixes.html Just Saying,
@rideair I think most people in this forum are highly knowledgeable on these cars and what they're bidding on already. Was your car kept outside? This particular one was garage-kept so it’s been preserved extremely well for its age.
Thank you
@Jtwoods4 I just submitted pictures so they should be updated soon, but no sagging, looks great!
JTwoods4, You are correct about the headliner issues with the cars, I've got one that needs a headliner and ave been quoted $1,000 becuase you really need to also do the sunroof portion. For some reason, MB used some sub-standard products for both the headliner and the door pockets/pillar trim (also comes off). You can no longer get the factory materials from MB, so one must match it best they can. My CDI that only had 88K on the OD had major headliner sag, not a question of if, but when. This goes back to may original post, all the problems of a W211 minus the engine!
@Jtwoods4 I'm pretty sure it's not! But I'll double check tomorrow when I get in!
Can't see the rear headliner in that photo. The headliner typically sags in these vehicles is it sagging and this one?
@Jtwoods4 Hi! There's one picture closer to the end right before the engine shots, but I'll take some more detailed ones to post up in the morning!
Will you please post some pictures showing the headliner? Is it sagging in the rear?
Though many folks love these cars, they are not without their own set of problems. Engine/Trans mounts, Glow Plugs/Module, etc.. Any problems the W211 cars have, other than engine, this car will have. If you try and go cheap on the parts vs. using MB Parts, you'll have problems. I own one, have had heater blower issues, climate control, speakers, engine/trans mounts, glow plugs/module issues, and that's with well-maintained car. If fact, it's at the dealership right now getting the SBC braking system fixed (glad it's still covered under MB). Looks to be a great car, but just know, they still need work like all MB's

I too have a 2006 E320 CDI, great car. Engine and transmission. I get 40 MPG on the highway doing 80 on long trips. Passing, on the highway, is a dream in this car! Follow the fluid changes and you will have minimal maintenance to worry about. In 230,000 miles, I have replaced the motor mounts about 10,000 miles ago. If you put snow tires on, rotate them a lot, the torque eats them up.
@JoseyWales45 Pictures added!! Just a note for everyone that Virginia State Residents will be subject to 4.15% Sales Tax and All Applicable Registration Fees. For anyone else out of state, I'll just send you the paperwork and you will have to go to your local DMV. Thank you and don't hesitate to ask any questions!!
As the owner of a 2006 E320 CDI, with 304K miles on it (& otherwise exactly like the one up for auction), I can say that whoever ends up being the lucky bidder will get an AWESOME car! Just be sure to adhere to a strict 5,000-mile oil change interval and know that you will have to replace the motor mounts every so often (due to the extreme torque of the engine) you will get a very dependable car, yet with plenty of driving fun and fuel economy to boot! Frankly. I am tempted to bid on this car myself!
$9,000 bid placed by @OMdriver
Almost tempted to put my e430 up for sale to pick this up instead. I dont use the V8 power and would gladly take 30 mpg.
$2,116 bid placed by @mtrappy
@JoseyWales45 Good point!! I just ran out of town, but I'll get it done Sunday if I can, Monday the latest. Thank you everyone for taking a look! This was well cared for by a couple that bought it brand new, it was their baby, but unfortunately the husband passed away recently. Don't hesitate to ask any questions!
A picture of the tops of the injectors would be worth the effort.

As an owner of a 2006 e320 cdi just like this one I can say it is literally one of the best cars I've ever owned. Great comfortable ride and chassis Good pulling power from the diesel MPG around mid-30's with mixed driving, easily into the 40's on hwy roadtrips even up to 45mpg Reliable as sin Affordable to maintain I believe in around 3.5 years and 75k miles I spent a few thousand on tires, brakes, 1 x injector, perhaps a lower control arm and a couple miscellaneous things. Bargain, top tier motoring The w211 is at the best value intersection of used mercedes right now in my opinion This car is BRAND new with 65k miles
