This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL first shows registration in Maryland with subsequent registrations in North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. It’s offered for sale on consignment by the selling dealer and currently shows 32k miles on the odometer. Finished in Signal Red (568) over Palomino Leather (274), power is provided by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a paint-matched removable hardtop with stand, a black soft top, 15” Gullideckel wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, an original Becker radio, and an automatic power antenna. Records since new are included in the sale and recent services include and oil and filter change, cluster rebuild, and a replacement hood pad installed. This classic roadster is now offered for sale in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania with the original manufacturer’s literature, a full-size spare, tool kit, first aid kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The exterior is finished in Signal Red (568) with chrome accenting the window trim, beltline and bumpers. Auxiliary marker lights and fog lamps are mounted to the front bumper. The black soft top shows well without snags or tears and the rubber seals reportedly remain soft. The paint-matched removable hardtop features an electrically-heated rear pane along with a stand for storage. The paint is in good condition with no signs of rust and the included Carfax shows an incident in 2006 resulting in a driver’s fender repaint. The fender was not removed for the repaint and the pinstripe was matched.
The factory 15” Gullideckel wheels wear Michelin tires showing date codes from 2021 and measure 205/65 at all four corners. The wheels are in good condition with silver-painted OEM center caps shown. A factory full-size spare is included in the trunk along with a tool kit.
The cabin is trimmed in Palomino Leather (274) with Burl Walnut wood trim on the center console and dash. The wood trim shows well without blemish or fading. Interior features include automatic climate control with air conditioning, a power adjustable passenger side door mirror, an automatic power antenna, a folding center armrest and an outside temperature indicator mounted in the dash. The original Becker Grand Prix head unit remains in place and functional.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer with other instrumentation including a 7k-rpm tachometer, fuel level and economy indicators, coolant temperature, oil pressure and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer currently shows 32k miles from new. The tachometer and clock were recently repaired as they were inoperable. Controls for the cruise control are mounted to the steering column
This R107 roadster is powered by a 5.5-liter M117 which is factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Records since new are included in the sale and recent services include and oil and filter change, cluster rebuild, and a replacement hood pad installed. Underside photos are included in the gallery.

I closely examined front end and found no evidence of any frame damage and was not reported in any maintenance/repair reports. Driver’s side front fender was resprayed due to a minor accident. It was not removed from car.
Hello, it seems that the front bumper has been repositioned; most likely due to the reported accident. Has the frame been damaged?
Could you please explain the extent of the front end damage, as reported in carfax? Thanks
