This 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280 was purchased new in April 1999 in Lockport, New York and moved to Colorado in 2000 where it remains with the current seller. The car is finished in Glacier White (143) over a Gray Leather (208) interior and powered by a naturally aspirated 2.8-liter V6 engine paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include the factory Sport package, heated front seats, an electrically-powered sliding sunroof w/tilt, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, power adjustable mirrors, and a factory Becker head unit with AM/FM, cassette, and weatherband capabilities. This C280 sedan shows 163k miles on the odometer and is now offered by the seller in Colorado with factory literature, a clean Carfax report showing three owners since new, two keys, documented service, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Glacier White (143) with paint-matched bumpers and mirror covers. According to the attached Carfax, this C280 has not been in any accidents nor had any major body paintwork remaining largely original. The exterior features the factory Sport package including fully painted and sculpted bumpers and side skirts, smoked taillamps, B-Pillar Sport trim panels, and Sport badging on the fender trim. The seller notes a small crack in the left side headlight lens and a scratch in the paint adjacent to the drivers headlight.
Original 16x7” wheels are specific to the Sport package and wear winter tires measuring 205/55 on all four corners. The wheels are the originals and show no signs of curb rash. Anti-lock disc brakes provide stopping power for this C280.
In the cabin, the seats, shift knob, door cards, center console, and dashboard are upholstered in original Gray Leather (208) with a matching upper dash and light gray headliner. Sport trim accents the dashboard, doors, and center console, including the cup holder and ashtray covers. Interior features include heated front seats, automatic climate control, climate REST function, cruise control, power windows, and an original Becker head unit. The driver’s seat shows some creasing on the front portion and outer bolster.
A black leather trimmed Sport steering wheel frames white-backed gauges. Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 163k miles.
The 2.8-liter M112 V6 features three valves per cylinder and produced 194 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque when new. The included Carfax shows consistent maintenance with all owners and lists both dealer and independent service. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission and a new OEM Mercedes-Benz battery has been installed.
The attached Carfax sohws no accidents or damage, linear mileage updates, and 45 service history records since new. Now with 163k miles on the odometer, this C280 Sport is offered with factory literature, two keys, documented service, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The C280 Sport was an instant hit for those seeking a nimble and maneuverable sport sedan in the late 90’s. As the replacement for the W201 (190E), these W202 cars borrowed plenty of design cues from the W140 and, weight aside, felt equally as substantial. Not many of the Sport package examples were produced and it’s become fairly rare to find one in presentable condition. The Sport trim and wheels along with various interior cues that hint towards the AMG models made a huge aesthetic improvement over the standard models. With an efficient V6 up front driving the rear wheels, these cars are fun, practical, and stylish.

Used to drool over these Sport models in the brochures at the dealership with my pops when they were new. The blue tinted sport glass and smoked tails are the best details.

@mcm1997 I suspect the best way to answer this question is to upload a driving video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGkC1gA_zgg
There’s something so fun about normal cars like this that have been kept so nice.
How are the shock/suspension?

These are highly underrated cars IMO. The Sport pack is especially cool and I still debate picking one up to have as another car but would feel terrible having it sit outside.
