This 2003 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG shows two owners from new with registration reported in California and 74k miles on the odometer. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Charcoal Nappa Leather (251), power is provided by a hand-built 5.4-liter supercharged V8 mated to an AMG-enhanced five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlamps, Parktronic parking sensors, heated multicontour front seats, four-zone automatic climate control and a Harman/Kardon audio system. Recent maintenance includes an engine oil change performed by the dealer. This 2003 E55 AMG is now offered for sale by the selling dealer with the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features AMG bodywork including a sculpted front air dam, side skirts and rear apron. Exterior features include a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination and heated washers, power door mirrors, Parktronic parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, remote central locking and quad-exit stainless steel AMG exhaust tips. Scratches and rock chips are visible on the Paiint Protection Film (PPF) on front bumper with the seller reporting no signs of rust, body damage, or paint defects.
Staggered 18” AMG double-spoke alloy wheels come fitted with Continental ContiSportContact 3 tires up front measuring 245/40 and ExtremeContacts at the rear measuring 265/35. Braking is handled by eight and four piston AMG calipers which are painted silver with black AMG lettering. The AMG-tuned Airmatic Dual Control air suspension provides adjustable ride height and stiffness.
The AMG-design sport front seats are upholstered in Charcoal Nappa Leather (251) with matching black AMG floor mats and Black Bird’s Eye Maple wood trim which lines the center console, dash and door panels. Both front seats are heated with multicontour adjustment and position memory. Additional amenities include a power tilt/telescope steering column, a power rear sunshade, four-zone automatic climate control and a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon Logic7 surround sound system.
The AMG multifunction steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer with a central digital display along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer currently shows just below 74k miles from new.
The hand-built M113K 5.4-liter V8 is factory rated for 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG-enhanced 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission. An engine oil and oil filter change was performed within the last 1k miles.
The Carfax report shows California registration from under two owners with linear mileage updates from new. Regular service visits are shown with no accidents or damage reports appearing on the Carfax. This 2003 E55 AMG is now offered for sale by the selling dealer in Walnut Creek, California with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean two-owner Carfax report and a clean California title.
A walk-around and test drive video has been provided by the seller below.
The W211 E55 AMG became more than just a worthy successor of the W210. It helped define the direction of modern performance luxury sedans. Perhaps the most notable feature was the addition of the supercharger to the already legendary M113 engine. For anyone who has not yet experienced the thrill of driving a M113k-powered AMG, it’s an experience that becomes addicting with locomotive power as the supercharger whines. While W211 E55 AMGs aren’t exactly rare in this market, OEM examples with no engine or performance modifications (only these highly modifiable platforms) are difficult to find in the daily-driver price range. If there was ever the "right one" to buy, this is surely it with low mileage and California history. These cars continue to feel as solid as the day they were built and are sure to engage drivers for another two decades.

@tock172 Unfortunately this is little late for me to get the paint measure, to show you the paint is all original (due to holidays). However, I will personally guarantee no bondo on this car what so ever. I’ll refund your money including the MBM fee if there is. There’s no leaks or transmission issues or SBC issues on this car. MB has 25 years warranty on SBC. This vehicle belonged to one family and always was serviced at the MB dealer. If there would be issues with any of the items you mentioned, transmission service (which was performed recently) would show that and it would be addressed. Bid with confidence! You will not see E55 this clean that often. Who ever gets this car is going to be very pleased. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

This looks like a very clean and well-kept first-year W211 E55. Can you confirm whether or not the following items have been addressed or replaced? I understand the car has low mileage considering its age and not everything may have been done or even necessary yet. ⁃ Updated Radiator Design (to avoid the problem of engine coolant leaking into the transmission cooling lines). ⁃ SBC Pump ⁃ Transmission Conductor Plate ⁃ Engine and Transmission Mounts ⁃ AirMatic Suspension Shocks Lastly, are you able to provide paint depth meter readings of the exterior finish prior to auction conclusion? I know it ends Friday and tomorrow is a holiday, but just asking—Thanks!

@Rosenfe Mercedes wouldn’t give us all the documentation, due to customers personal information. However, CarFax clearly shows on time thorough maintenance throughout its life. Honestly this is one of cleanest E55’s we ever acquired. It is showroom quality. Never painted, no damage whatsoever, anywhere inside or outside. With factory PPF on the front bumper, lights, rocker panels, doorhandles, and if I’m not mistaken mirrors.
