Looks like a reasonable high bid given the future uncertainty around the wiring harness, top hydraulics and head gasket in the future. Most of these cars that sell in the mid to upper 20’s have had these issues addressed already.
Thanks

Good morning everyone! It’s the last day for the auction of my 1995 E320 Cabriolet. I will be around to answer any questions, so please feel free! This is a very nice low mileage example of this model that continues gaining popularity. And I don’t think there is a better looking color combination. And just a reminder that bids must be received in a timely manner, so don’t wait too long in the final moments to place your bid. Good luck to everyone!
Hey all! Just wanted to say that the seller invited me over to get my opinion on this car before he listed it here. This is a really lovely example that shows extremely well. The imperial red paint with the black leather is really striking in person. Everything is neat and tidy which pays tribute to the low mileage and good care this car has obviously received in his 25 years of ownership. If I didn’t already have a ‘95 Cab (that I bought on MB Market), this car would most likely be headed for my garage. Bid with confidence on this one, as I am certain it will meet your expectations.

@Sead Causes of overspray on a 1995 E320 • Factory underspray: Factory overspray on vintage cars like the W124 is often misunderstood. During production, undercoating was applied before the final paint. As a result, body-color overspray could land on the PVC coating on the underside of the car. Over decades, road grime could build up on top of this, giving the appearance of post-factory overspray. No this car was never repainted but a very good observation

From pictures 112 to 117 There is a shade of red over underside, especially from the back Has it been painted?? Correct me if I’m wrong, parts get installed already painted at assembly line.
@berges yes, red over black is a rare color combination for the A124 model. I have been collecting VINs for the A124 over the last several years, and out of 1,168 Vins collected, only 17 are red over black. That's 1.5%. Considering they imported 6,140 A124's over 3 model years, that would suggest that maybe 89 or so red/black cars were imported. Know idea how many are left after 30+ years, but needless to say, red over black is rare.

@Berges Hey! The Imperial Red really looks great on this! The color combination is one of the things that drew me to this car 25 years ago. It gets compliments everywhere I go!
@Stingray8429 I believe the wiring harness to be original. The head gasket has not been replaced in my 25 years of ownership. And I believe the top hydraulics to be original as well. As all three of these are common issues with these cars, I feel that none of them having been as issue is a testament to the life this car has led. It has been well maintained, always garaged, and used sparingly.
Has the wiring harness been replace? Has the head gaskets been replaced. And the top hydraulic been replaced or rebuilt?

I can't remember the last time I saw Red over Black on a cab....or any other 124 for that matter I suppose. Exceptionally cool!
Hey everyone! Excited to have my 1995 E320 Cabriolet here on MB Market! I’m happy to answer any questions and am confident that this car will meet expectations. I see a question about the wiring harness. I believe it to be original, but everything looks good and i have not experienced any electronic gremlins that are typical with deteriorating harnesses in my 25 years of ownership.
Was the wiring harness replaced?
