This 2003 Mercedes-Benz S430 was reportedly sold new in August 2003 in New Jersey where it's remained since new between two owners. Finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic (723) over Anthracite leather (271), power comes from a 4.3-liter V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Features include heated front seats, factory COMAND, an electric sunshade for the rear glass, soft-close doors, the AMG Sport package, and 18" AMG wheels. Recent service includes a brake fluid flush, new fuel pump and filter, new PSE turbine, and a full inspection in preparation for the sale. This W220 currently shows 69,731 miles and is offered with factory literature, an original tool kit, two remote key fobs, a clean Carfax, and a clean New Jersey title.
Finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic (723), the body features the AMG Sport package including sculpted front and rear bumpers, and extended side skirts. The paint and finish presents very well with no major blemishes visible on the body. The seller notes a slight scratch on the right front door and trunk lid, and a crack on the underside of the front bumper. Additional equipment includes a glass sunroof with tilt function, soft-close door and trunk closing assist, and auto-dimming side-view mirrors with integrated signal lighting. The PSE soft-close system recently received a new PSE turbine to ensure proper working order.
18″ five-spoke AMG wheels are wrapped in 245/45 GoodYear Eagle RS-A tires showing 2022 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes and a brake fluid flush was recently performed in September 2024. The front and rear brake rotors were replaced in December 2022.
The cabin is trimmed in Anthracite leather (271) accented by the original Burl Walnut wood trim on the center console, doors, and dashboard. The original floor mats are fitted and will accompany the car. Features include multi-contour and heated front seats, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof and rear sunshade, and premium sound. The seller notes the covers on the front vanity mirrors are broken. The car remains fully original and still retains the factory COMAND with navigation.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and a digital odometer with trip function. The digital odometer shows 69,731 original miles. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature and a digital clock.
The 4.3-liter M113 V8 was rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired with a 722.6 automatic five-speed transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Recent service includes a brake fluid flush, new fuel pump and filter, new PSE turbine, and a full inspection in preparation for the sale. In 2022, a dealer service was performed which included a new battery, new tires, new front and rear brake pads and rotors, and a new cabin and engine air filter. The attached Carfax report shows 28 primarily dealer service visits in New Jersey.
The Carfax report lists no accident or damage, and linear mileage updates since new with registration history exclusively in New Jersey. This W220 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with factory literature, an original tool kit, two remote key fobs, a clean Carfax, and a clean New Jersey title.

Meet reserve?
Awesome car for the price! If it had been a little closer to the West coast, I would have been all over this. And probably still should have!

I was not told about any battery issues and it has been fine the two months i have had it to work on.
Maintenance history shows frequent battery replacements starting at about 52k miles and almost at every 2k to 3k miles. Was there a problem with battery charging system & was that fixed.
I don't think it was smoked in, no odors at all, the front and rear ashtrays and lighters look like they were never used.
Hi, Great looking car! In picture 72 (driver's side A-pillar) it looks like there are some marks, similar to cigarette burns. Do you know if this car was smoked in? Thanks!

I will try and get you pics. tomorrow. The front sunvisor mirror assembly are available separately from the visors approx. $60 each. The front struts look to be original by the way the air lines attach at the top of the struts. The car has been sitting for approx. two weeks now and has not dropped. It also does not drop after putting the car back on the ground after being on the lift. The entire suspension is also very quiet and rides very nice. Paul Kieffer
Would you mind uploading photos of the cracked mirror covers? Also, does it still have the original air suspension and if so how is it functioning?

These are aging beautifully.
I am the owner of Kieffer Car Care, worked for the same M.B. dealer for 37 years and now have my own business for 13 years. This car is part of a collection that the owner of multiple Dealers [VW,Toyota,Chevy] was collecting. He passed and the cars are now being checked and sold. I have personally done the repairs as shown on my invoices. I have also driven the car approx. 300 miles and find it to be an extremely nice example of the W220 model.Feel free to ask any questions. I still to this day have very fond memories of my last model year S430 with the sport pkg and a 4matic. Found it to be comfortable, did indeed felt a bit sporty and was never a maintenance problem. Was happy when I replaced it to sell it to my sister in law for $1 dollar and smiled when she visited and would see it parked in my driveway as if it never left.
