This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300SE was sold new in Honolulu, Hawaii in January of 1990 and remained with its original owner until August of 2020 when it was acquired by the selling dealer. The car now resides in California and has since received new ball joints, tie rods, Pirelli tires, and a rebuilt headunit by Becker. Power comes from a 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Diamond Blue Metallic (355) over Gray (268) leather. This one-owner W126 is now offered by the selling dealer with factory literature, a tool kit, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Hawaii title.
The exterior of this short-wheelbase flagship sedan is finished in Diamond Blue Metallic with color-matched lower cladding, and the finish and original paint condition is shown up close in the gallery below. Exterior equipment includes chrome-accented bumpers, headlamp wipers, and a power-operated sunroof. The seller indicates that the car wears original factory paint all around and shows virtually no imperfections.
The original Mercedes 15-hole 15” wheels are coated in factory silver finish and wear new Pirelli P4 tires measuring 205/65 all around with 2020 date codes. A balance and alignment were recently performed according to the selling dealer upon mounting the new Pirelli tires.
The interior is trimmed in Gray leather and features matching carpets and door panels. Features include “tempomat” cruise control, electronically adjustable steering column, automatic antenna, memory seats for both driver and passenger and courtesy/reading lamps for the front and rear. The Zebrano wood trim remains free of cracks or delamination and accents the center console, dash, and doors. The original headunit was recently rebuilt by Becker and now operates like new. Original factory Mercedes floor mats are included in the sale.
The airbag steering wheel frames the factory gauge cluster featuring a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, fuel economy, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows just over 19,000 original miles.
The 3.0-liter M103 inline-six was rated at 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent service is said to include new ball joints, tie rods, and fuel pump hose in addition to four new Pirelli tires.
The sale includes factory literature, a service booklet, a tool kit, two original keys and a full-size spare tire. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage in addition to linear mileage updates throughout the car’s one-owner history. Photos of the underbody as well as paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery below.

Wow What a car and the condition is unbelievable Good luck I wish my 126 looks like that
Excellent example of the W126 and a great investment vehicle. Congratulations to whomever is the high bidder today.
Had a hot wheels version for this exact car in the early 90's - same color and everything! Pretty sure its the reason I love Mbs so much, can't believe I'm seeing the real thing up for sale.
As this auction is about to conclude I would be happy any questions. Thank you.

Its amazing to see chrome moldings on a car of this vintage in such amazing condition. Obviously they should be with this little mileage, but I dont think Ive ever seen better original brightwork on a 126.
I had a W126 in this color combination years ago. Quite a few more miles than this one, but still looked fantastic. Such a clean, classy combination. Best of luck with the auction

This is an Awesome car for someone that will wants to get lost in the minutia of Inch Perfect. All the bones are there and they're Strong. Spending evenings/mornings with beverage of choice Qtips and microfibers will be most rewarding. One tidbit for who ever her next caretaker is, M103's run a Lot of seat/spring pressure in their drive train. A 20/50 with the zinc and phosphate levels of Old will help keep all the internal bits happy. For us, we use Brad Penn Racing with excellent results here in the shop. GLWTA!

No delamination on the rear window corners is always a good sign.
Wow! Beautiful example and really amazing presentation. I'm sure this will do well. GLWA!
I've never been a fan of this color until now. Somehow, I think I have a new favorite.
