@Seller, what modifications are needed to the curtent exhaust system and to the rear bumper valance to install this on a R128 with a M119 engine? Also, shipping cost to CA 90504. Thanks and GLWTS
Shipping to CA 90274 please. Also, in some pics it looks like discoloration....is that a shadow? Thank you
Hello, with regards to teh dent, have you had it seen by a PDR expert, and what was their opinion? Just want to make sure PDR will work, because a repaint ruins the originality. Thanks
I would be very interested in this one, but my reservation is that I have a black interior, and this one is grey….bummer!
What a beauty...my mother in law had a 1981 in this exact combo, picked up in Germany on euro delivery. Car was a joy to drive! GLWTA
@haidaviaclassicsthanks. Have the wheels been checked to make sure they run true with no bends or wobbles? Thanks
Please confirm shipping to California 90274….thanks
I thought maintenance was ok....what is deferred in your opinion?
Hi, let me know if you have responded to my emails from yesterday please. Thanks
Great looking car. Couple of questions - have the top hydraulics been serviced/replaced? Can you provide a video of the soft top operation opening and closing? Do you have a driving video showing shifting and acceleration? Any paint meter readings to determine if all body panels are original paint? Thank you and GLWTA!
@LionHeart…consensus is that the current Lorinsers are liked better by my wife! Will have to look for some AMG’s to match my SL 500. GLWTA
@LionHeartthanks for your reply. Can you confirm that the tires are all dated 2017?
Would these fit a 1991 560SEC, C126?
Any idea what it would cost to get them shipped to California zip 90505? Thanks
This is probably a stupid question, but has anyone ever shipped one of these to CA and what would that cost plus what would need to be done to prep it?
@GASMotorcars Thanks for the update on the hydraulics. I just talked to my local MB dealer and he said the 1998 has 11 cylinders! Based on what he quoted for parts, it would be great if you could confirm if any cylinders have been replaced……it would truly give me more confidence to bid strong - I do love this car, but have to consider what is coming up down the road! Any chance of making a quick call to the PO? Thanks and GLWTA.
Any record of the soft top cylinders being replaced? I went through all the receipts (great records!) but did not se any mention of the convertible top hydraulics being worked on or replaced - any knowledge on this would be helpful, as its a pretty expensive fix, from what I understand, and is a common part to fail. I saw the video where it seems to work fine, but if the cylinders are original it’s a matter of when! Assume the hard top going on and off works as intended? I had asked early in the auction about the cooling system, as it seemed to need pretty regular repair with the gauge bouncing around and new fans having to be installed - assume no issues now? Sorry for all the questions but we are getting close!! Thanks and GLWTA!
Also, can we get some underbody pictures and also address the question if the car has any leaks? Does the AC and climate control work as intended? Thank you!
Any additional information or pictures on the reported accident? Also, how old are the tires? Carfax does not show a lot of detail! Thanks
Thank you for the videos. My apologies if I missed this, but does the climate control, AC etc work as intended? I’m assuming AC was used on these beautiful Georgia summer days! Also can you address what the fix would be for the separation of the headrest area? Any idea what it would cost to fix it? Thanks
@GASMotorcars if you can also show a video of the convertible top opening and closing, and maybe paint meter readings so a buyer is comfortable with the car having original paint. Thanks again!
Great! Also a driving video showing acceleration and shifting as well as a cold start would be great!!
Firstly, kudos for such complete records on maintenance!! Being an east coast car could you provide underbody shots to show any rust related issues? It seems that the car has had a few more cooling system issues than I would expect, somewhat abnormal for the M119 engine, so any commentary would be helpful! Is there anything that is non operational on the car? Any oil leaks, etc…….Also, is all the smog equipment on the car to be CA compliant? Picture 212 appears to be an emissions sticker - could we get a better view of that sticker please…..thanks and GLWTA.
