This single-owner 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600SEC was delivered new to Viti Mercedes-Benz and shows just 69k miles from new with fully documented service history and Rhode Island registration. Finished in Crystal Green Metallic (256) over Beige Leather (265), power is provided by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a sliding sunroof, remote central locking, Adaptive Damping suspension with automatic level control, heated multicontour front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Becker radio with a Bluetooth retrofit and a Bose Beta audio system. A stamped service booklet is included which shows an engine wiring harness replacement performed by the dealer. A full fluid flush and service was performed in May 2023 by the selling dealer. This 600SEC is now offered for sale with the original manufacturer’s literature, both original keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean Rhode Island registration in the original owner’s name.
The pillarless body is finished in Crystal Green Metallic (256) with contrasting dark green lower body cladding. Exterior features include front fog lamps, headlamp wiper/washers, a power sliding sunroof, heated and power-adjustable door mirrors, pop-up reversing guides, dual-pane windows, soft-close doors and remote central locking. The seller notes a scratch on the hood with no other damage on the exterior. The Carfax report shows no accidents and the paint is believed to be original with paint meter readings provided by the seller in the photo gallery.
The original 16” 8-hole alloy wheels come fitted with a set of Michelin Premier A/S tires which measure 235/60 on all four corners with 2021 date codes. The wheels show no signs of curb rash or corrosion. Standard equipment includes four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes as well as hydropneumatic Adaptive Damping suspension with automatic level control.
The cabin is trimmed in Beige Leather (265) with matching beige floor mats and headliner with Burl Walnut wood trim lining the center console, dash and door panels. The seller notes that the headliner is sagging in the rear. Both front seats are heated with 12-way power adjustability, multicontour backrests and three-position memory. Interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a power-adjustable rear-view mirror and steering column, a power rear sunshade, power rear headrests, a 12-speaker Bose Beta audio system and a Becker radio with a bluetooth audio retrofit. The shifter bushings were replaced by the seller in May 2023 and the blower motor was replaced at 50k miles.
The four-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel frames analog instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just 69k miles from new.
This C140 is powered by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 which is rated for 389 horsepower and 421 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. A full service was performed by the seller including a complete fluid flush. A stamped service booklet shows documented service history performed by the dealer with a VMI included by the seller. The engine wiring harness was previously replaced by the dealer.
The data card mounted below the hood displays the following codes:
The car was purchased new by the sole owner in 1993 and was purchased by the selling dealer in 2022 from the original owner’s widow. A Rhode Island registration is included with the car along with a death certificate for transfer of ownership. The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new with no accidents or damage reports. This 600SEC is now offered for sale by Georgopoulos Motors in Southampton, New York with the original manufacturer’s literature, both original keys, a clean Carfax report and a Rhode Island registration in the original owner’s name.
A walk-around and driving video has been provided by the seller below.
On the brink of the auto industry migrating away from high displacement and naturally aspirated power plants, the M120 V12-powered Mercedes from the 90’s remain flagships against even the newest iteration of the S-Class and other modern luxury options. We’re marginally accustomed to seeing late model V12 C140’s but when it comes to pre-facelift cars, they’re few and far between by comparison... especially in the coupe variant of which this is 1 of only 307 for 1993. This example shows just one owner with fully documented service history which was performed by the dealer through 2016 and later at a private shop owned by the dealer’s prior shop foreman. Rounded off with a stunning and unique color combination, this 600SEC offers a rare opportunity to acquire and preserve one of the best constructed cars produced by Mercedes-Benz.

This is such a rare opportunity to own one of the last "The Best or Nothing" Mercedes-Benz automobiles in Bruno Saccos favorite color. These big V12 coupes need to be experienced by any true Mercedes collector at one point in their lifetime and this one is very collectable and useable. The history of care, keys, solid VMI and long-term one-owner/use history are a major value. Also, the lack of broken/worn items are absent on this example and let me say as a three-M120 owner those little items are harder and harder to fix, so pay well up-front for a complete package. I'd bid, but already have a 1999 CL600, S600 and SL600 so all stocked up!
Hello everyone, As we are now in the final two hours of the auction, I would like to conclude with highlights of this car: - One owner - Low mileage - All original with paint meter readings - Data card/LastVin/VMI confirmed color combo and spec - We believe this car to be a true one of one color combo for all W140 V12 Coupes - Full dealer service history from the original dealer at which is was purchased - Upper engine, lower engine, and both throttle body wiring harnesses replaced at the dealer with non-biodegradable units - Rust/rot free - All original books, stamped service booklet, and two original big infrared keys - Everything is working as seen in the detailed video (most notably the seatbelt delivery system, soft close system, motorized interior mirror, and infrared locking systems) - Michelin premier tires with 2021 date codes - Service this year in preparation for the sale includes: all fluids/filters, shifter bushings, new battery, and BECKER head unit being rebuilt by BECKER AutoSound in New Jersey with a Bluetooth retrofit that does not eliminate any other functions. Even the cassette deck works as seen in the video. The Bluetooth instructions photographed are included. - Never used original floor mats placed in the car only for the photographs With the level of pedigree stated above, this car is the definition of collectible and investment grade. It is not often a car like this comes to market, especially when it has had just one owner since new. As aforementioned, with the only notable imperfection being the scratch on the hood, we are willing to repaint the hood at no charge upon successful sale. We only had not done so as to preserve originality and let the new owner decide how they would prefer the car. Best of luck, Stathios
@JoeyBenz08 Absolutely, I just uploaded them. Please see photos 229-234 Thank you, Stathios
Can you send me a close up of the fender bolts under the hood thanks Joe

Hello all, We are now in the final 24 hours of this auction. As always, here for any last minute questions, in-person inspections, and photo/video requests. I tagged those below who have bid on similar 140 600 coupes here on The MB Market previously though had not won. I suggest checking this one as it is a fully sorted, low mileage one owner example in what we believe to be a one of one color combo that is completely original. @KingKitty Thank you for your interest and yes, I can confirm after discussions with the original owner's widow, their custodian, and a manager from the Viti Mercedes Benz dealership that the service detailed in the VMI during 2011 included the entire replacement of not only the upper and lower engine wiring harnesses but both throttle body harnesses as well as they were also biodegradable and prone to failure. To clarify, all four wiring harnesses have been updated to non-biodegradable units. I will post photos of a laser temperature gauge on the AC working ice cold and the heat working very hot. Please note that this car includes a complete, five page VMI, stamped service booklet up until 2001 (when most dealerships stopped stamping booklets), and records from my preparations of this car for sale including all fluids, filters, shifter bushings, rebuilding of the factory Becker stereo at Becker Auto Sound in New Jersey, etc etc. W140 600 cars of this pedigree rarely come up for sale, especially one with such a rare spec as seen here Thank you, Stathios

Potential buyers should review records for both upper and lower wiring harnesses have been replaced as well as if the AC evaporator has been replaced. W140s are great cars, but the pre-facelift models did have their share of issues you want to be sure have been addressed. GLWA!
@whiskuz @MBFahrer Thank you for your interest. There is no rot or what would be considered "rust issues." There is minor surface corrosion on the control arms/springs which is very normal for these cars. Photo 231 shows rust on the exhaust shields which is very common on all classic Mercedes to the point where most of these cars, even if they have resided in the midwest, are missing the exhaust shields. What is important is that there is no holes or loss of structural integrity. Most notably, the body maintains perfect, rust free panels with all original paint. Please reach out here in the comments or with the "message seller" button to schedule an in person inspection to further assess the car. I will allocate at least one hour on a lift if desired at no charge of course. Thank you, Stathios
I remember this car from ebay. Had a very high asking price for the miles and state of the undercarriage. Staying tuned...
Beautiful car. It does appear there are some rust issues though. Can you post more pictures of the corrosion you see in pic 231 and anywhere else?

Lovely car, in a fantastic color. I am the proud owner myself of a nicely optioned, German market 94 600sec. I adore mine and I am sure whoever gets this, will love it to. Such fantastic machines. Cannot get the vault-like feel of this thing anywhere else.

Hello everyone, We are pleased to present this incredible one owner, perfectly maintained, and all original low mileage 600SEC with an updated wiring harness, two infrared keys, all owners books including a stamped service booklet, and a complete five page VMI. This color combination is believed to be a one of one special order and be it the only blemish on the entire car a minor scratch on the hood, we have decided to present the car with it as to preserve originality. As a full service dealership, we are offering the potential buyer of this car to professionally repaint the hood free of charge after the transaction has occurred. The first year 600SEC is often revered as the best of the run. It is completely free of future cost cutting and is the exact interpretation of what the engineers accomplished with the long foregone Mercedes philosophy of “build the car without budget and we will put a price at the end.” This led to the 140 600 cars being their most ambitious project with an R&D cost over one billion dollars. It is clear that Mercedes now prioritizes budget to marketing instead of engineering and it shows. It has led to many collectors revering these 140 600 cars as the heavyweight champion of Mercedes. We are happy to host in person inspections, test drives, and photo/video requests. Please reach out here in the comments or with the "message seller" button. Please watch these videos linked below as they showcase the feats of engineering and importance of this great car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usnj4NsN33g&t=142s&ab_channel=OldBenz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5dw2mzwwCY&ab_channel=Kaskader666 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_13n6bCfd6U Thank you, Stathios
