This 2002 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was sold new by Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans in April 2002 and remained with its original owner until the seller’s acquisition in September 2020. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black (521A) Leather, this E55 is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged M113 engine mated to a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission. Modifications in addition to the supercharger include headers, downpipes, full exhaust, reinforced transmission, rear subframe modification, Brembo brakes, high performance camshafts, an oil cooler kit with an additional transmission oil cooler, and more. Receipts for all work performed by RENNtech will accompany the car and totals nearly $71k from 2002-2004. Recent service includes an oil & filter change, a new supercharger clutch, a new throttle positioning sensor, new OEM spring pad 1’s all around, and new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Currently this E55 shows only 23k miles and presents in excellent condition. The car is now offered with factory literature, two keys, RENNtech receipts, the original window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
This example is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features xenon headlamps with washers, fog lights, a sunroof with tilt function, and AMG bodywork which includes sculpted bumpers, side skirts, factory rolled fenders, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows no damage or accidents and the paintwork is all believed to be original. There are no imperfections presented in the paint or body and this example is reportedly completely rust free. The headlight lenses remain clear and all glass pieces are original with factory Mercedes-Benz markings.
This E55 wears a set of factory 18” staggered AMG monoblock wheels with new Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 245/40 up front and 275/35 in the rear. The AMG monoblock wheels are in excellent condition and show no signs of wear. The brakes have been upgraded by RENNtech and feature multi-piston Brembos measuring 14” up front and 12” in the rear with drilled rotors. New OEM spring pad 1’s have been installed on all four corners.
Black (521A) Leather adorns both front and rear seats, door cards, and steering wheel. Black Birdseye Maple wood veneer accents the center console, dash, and door cards. Features include power-adjustable memory seats with heating for the driver and front passenger, an electric rear sunshade, factory blue heat-insulating glass, power-adjustable side mirrors, and the original Becker head unit. The clear protective plastic from the factory is still on the door sills and pictured in the gallery. The headliner is original and shows no signs of sagging. A black birdseye maple shift knob with RENNtech badging has been added. The dash has no cracks and the original E55 AMG-embroidered floor mats still accompany the car.
An AMG-specific leather steering wheel fronts AMG-branded gauges with grey faces and features a 160-mph speedometer and 7k-tachometer, along with a coolant temperature and fuel level gauge. The outside temperature and digital clock both operate as designed with no dead pixels. The digital odometer indicates just over 23k original miles.
The original AMG-tuned, naturally-aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8 has been supercharged by RENNtech and power is estimated to be approximately 520 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission which has been upgraded by RENNtech and features adjusted shift points. Recent service includes an oil & filter change, a new supercharger clutch, and new throttle positioning sensor. Modifications in addition to the supercharger include headers, downpipes, full exhaust, reinforced transmission, rear subframe modification, high performance camshafts, an oil cooler kit with an additional transmission oil cooler, reinforced half shafts, and adjusted transmission shift points. Receipts for all work performed by RENNtech will accompany the car and totals nearly $71k from 2002-2004.
Photographs of the underside can be seen in the gallery below. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires have been installed in August 2021, just after the underbody pictures were taken. There are no signs of corrosion and all factory markings are still visible.
Videos have been provided showing a walk around, driving, and interior tour of this RENNtech E55.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage along with linear mileage updates over its two-owner history. This E55 AMG is now being offered with factory literature, two keys, RENNtech receipts, the original window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

Paint meter readings have been uploaded to the gallery.
@Vlad600sel Ah I see under the Quick Facts section. Good catch, I got it updated thanks
Wow. This a great looking car! I have a 1999 all original white E55 that may be available soon.
@blakleyleonard Title Status: Clean Virginia
@Vlad600sel Description is correct, the car is titled in Montana. Thanks
Probably a mistake on title description Virginia or Montana ?
@993tats I'm trying to get my business partner at my auto storage facility to meter the car for me. I don't have a paint meter (ordered one and it's on the way though) but he does, once I get the readings I will upload. Thanks
@AMGmeister I am unsure as to what Renntech did to the compression with the addition of the supercharger. In the acceleration video I did not floor it to prevent wheel spin so there's more power to put down. I can say that beyond 80mph it accelerates extremely quick with no signs of slowing down even as speed increases. Thanks
This is an absolutely stunning example!
Thanks @seller. Any paintwork / bodywork? Would you be open to posting paint meter reading in the next few days?
@niklesnih I agree that it doesn't look like a 170hp gain. However, for the 0-100mph time it looks like over 2 seconds are shaved off compared to stock so it's still a significant bump in performance.
Beautiful car. Super interesting that RENNtech stuck the AMG supercharger on the m113 engine. Does this car still have a 10.5:1 compression ratio or do you think RENNtech lowered it? The reason I ask is because on the W211 E55 (where this supercharger is from) the compression is reduced to 9:1 and the connecting rods are beefed up for the forced induction.

Hard to ignore the acceleration video where it seems like the car is doing 0-60 in roughly 5 sec. stock they were known to do around 5.4 sec. I guess adding 170hp and 130tq shaves 0.4sec
@993tats I assure you there are certainly no flood issues with this car as you allude to. If there was, Carfax would clearly label that as they do other reports I’m sure we have all seen. The car has lived in the New Orleans area for the majority of it’s life and always kept in climate controlled storage with a battery tender.
@edanetz The only information I have on the modification are the items listed on the Renntech receipts. I know the O2 sensors were also replaced but from what I can see, high performance headers and downpipes were the primary exhaust modifications. Thanks
Any flood damage? The Carfax shows New Orleans in 2005 and calls this out on the report. If there is no flood damage carfax should not list this IMO,m.

Dear Lord, what a special car. It's a strange feeling to have no clue what a car will hammer for, yet know it will be worth every penny no matter the number.

A beautiful example - I had a 16k mile 1999 W210 and loved it (sellers remorse). Can you tell me a bit more about the modifications - specifically the exhaust mods. Downpipe, headers, but not the muffler or cats? I see the muffler is still the AMG unit. A bit surprised to see a $6500 cost and what looks to be only downpipe and header mods? Thanks
Is the reserve off 😀

@zozdemir Great info, thanks for sharing! I've been looking for production numbers on my 2000 E55 Brilliant Silver Metallic with Blueberry interior. Any idea of how many 2000 Blueberry cars were made?

This is definitely one of a kind supercharged low mileage example.
Omg Anyone needs a lung or something I need a loan …
Welcome to the auction of my E55 AMG! This is a bittersweet listing for me. The W210 AMG is ultimately my favorite all-around Mercedes of all-time. In addition to this one, I still have three other E55’s, two E60’s, and an E430. All this to say, it’s time to let one go and make room for something new down the road. I can say with conviction that whoever ends up with this car will be more than satisfied, and replicating the quality of this build, in addition to the condition of the car, would be nearly impossible. Good luck bidding!
As the kids say today….”way cool”

NO COMMENT EVRYTHING IN ONE w210 GOOD LUCK…
An M113K before the M113K on a chassis that looks the part (as compared to the “softer” W211). Also, no SBC brakes to worry about!
