This 1993 Mercedes-Benz E280 Wagon was ordered as a Spanish market example and sold new in Spain. It was imported to the United States in 2021 by the selling dealer, the car currently shows 248,984 kilometers (154,711 miles). Finished in Nautical Blue Metallic (929) over Blue patterned Cloth, this S124 features a leather-trimmed steering wheel, front clear corner lights, and an aftermarket head unit. Power comes from an M104 straight six and is transferred to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. This triple blue E-Class Wagon is currently offered with factory literature, two keys, the original first aid kit, and a clean Florida title.
Finished in Nautical Blue Metallic with matching lower cladding, this example was repainted under previous ownership in the original color. The selling dealer notes that records indicate the roof retains original paint. External features include a power sunroof, clear corner lights, paint matched mirror caps, a power antenna, and original roof rails. The seller mentions light rock chips can be seen on the front bumper and nose of the car. Paint and exterior details can be seen in the gallery below and included walk around video.
The factory 15” wheels feature vented hubcaps with polished outer rings and measure 15x8 on all four corners. The wheels are wrapped in Dunlop tires up front and Fulda Carat tires in the rear measuring 205/65 all around and reportedly have more than 80% tread life remaining.
The cabin is trimmed in Blue patterned cloth and accented with Zebrano veneer across the center console, dashboard, and door cards. The Blue cloth covers the seats, seat backs, and door cards while the dashboard and upper door cards are trimmed in blue vinyl. Blue carpet covers the floorboards and cargo space in the wagon. The original cargo cover is included in the sale and shown in the gallery below along with rear-facing third row seats which fold flat into the cargo floor. The third row seat cushion is missing. Interior features include analog climate controls, electric rear defrost, power front windows, and an aftermarket head unit with bluetooth capabilities. The seller notes the sunroof mechanism functions well when opening but has problems closing and the air conditioning will blow warm air when set to cold setting initially but blows cold air after a few moments of driving.
The analog odometer shows 248,984 original kilometers, nearing 155k miles. Instrumentation includes a 260-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6200-rpm redline, and an analog odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and an analog clock. The seller notes that the temperature gauge jumps while the engine is warming up and reaches normal temperature once at normal operating temperature.
The 2.8-liter M104 straight-six was rated at 193 horsepower and 199 ft-lbs of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 717 manual 5-speed transmission. The LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) Conversion was installed in 2013 and allows the S124 to run on either gasoline or LPG but the tank was removed for shipping/importation purposes.
This triple blue E-Class Wagon is currently offered with factory literature, two keys, the original first aid kit, and a clean Florida title. Detailed photos can be seen in the gallery below and videos have been provided by the seller.

@Harrdware the last owner had the car for roughly 7 years and according to him, he had bought it without the 3rd seat cushion and that's how we got it. When it comes to service records, we do not have any. I can only say that the car was looked over when it arrived and with the exception of minor issues noted in the description, there are no other known problems, neither with the head gasket, nor the wiring loom. It looks like a daily driven and well serviced car that is ready for use.
Worth it for the 5-speed alone!

Questions - 1. where is the lower rear seat cushion? 2. has the head gasket been addressed? 3. has the biodegradeable wiring harness been replaced? Thanks.
WOW - Blue interiors, manual tranny wagons - the stuff dreams are made of!
