This 2002 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was sold new by Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans in April 2002 and remained with its original owner until September 2020. The car was acquired by the current seller on The MB Market in September 2021 and has added just under 1k miles during that time. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black (521A) Leather, this E55 is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter M113 engine mated to a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission. Modifications in addition to the supercharger include headers, downpipes, full exhaust, reinforced transmission, rear subframe modification, Brembo brakes, high performance camshafts, an oil cooler kit with an additional transmission oil cooler, and more. Receipts for work performed by RENNtech will accompany the car and totals nearly $71k from 2002-2004. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires were recently installed along with 19" RENNtech Monolite wheels. Currently this E55 shows 24,450 miles and presents in excellent condition. The car is being offered on consignment by the selling dealer and states that the car cannot be sold to California residents due to emission laws. The car comes with factory literature, two keys, RENNtech receipts, the original window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
This example is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features xenon headlamps with washers, fog lights, a sunroof with tilt function, and AMG bodywork which includes sculpted bumpers, side skirts, factory rolled fenders, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows no damage or accidents and all body panels remain original There are no imperfections presented in the paint or body and this example is reportedly completely rust free. The headlight lenses remain clear and all glass pieces are original with factory Mercedes-Benz markings.
This E55 wears a set of 19” RENNtech Monolite wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 255/35 up front and 265/35 in the rear. The RENNtech wheels have been professionally refinished and retain polished lips, painted faces, and original RENNtech center caps. The brakes have been upgraded by RENNtech and feature multi-piston Brembos measuring 14” up front and 12” in the rear with drilled rotors. New KW coilover suspension has been recently installed which provides damping and height adjustablility.
Black (521A) Leather adorns both front and rear seats, door cards, and steering wheel. Black Birdseye Maple wood veneer accents the center console, dash, and door cards. The wood and dash are free from any cracks or imperfections. Features include power-adjustable memory seats with heating for the driver and front passenger, an electric rear sunshade, factory blue heat-insulating glass, power-adjustable side mirrors, and the original Becker head unit. The clear protective plastic from the factory is still on the door sills and the headliner is original and shows no signs of sagging. A black birdseye maple shift knob with RENNtech badging is installed along with the original E55 AMG-embroidered floor mats.
An AMG-specific leather steering wheel fronts RENNtech-branded gauges with white faces and were sourced by the seller specifically for this car. The cluster features a 200-mph speedometer and 7k-tachometer, along with a coolant temperature and fuel level gauge. The outside temperature and digital clock both operate as designed with no dead pixels. The digital odometer indicates just over 24,450 original miles.
The original AMG-tuned, naturally-aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8 has been supercharged by RENNtech and power is estimated to be approximately 520 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission which has been upgraded by RENNtech and features adjusted shift points. Service in August 2021 included an oil & filter change, a new supercharger clutch, and new throttle positioning sensor. Modifications in addition to the supercharger include headers, downpipes, full exhaust, reinforced transmission, rear subframe modification, high performance camshafts, an oil cooler kit with an additional transmission oil cooler, reinforced half shafts, and adjusted transmission shift points. Receipts for all work performed by RENNtech will accompany the car and totals nearly $71k from 2002-2004. A new OEM W211 E55 supercharger was sourced by RENNtech for the build.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage along with linear mileage updates since new. This E55 AMG is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer in California and states that the car cannot be sold to California residents due to emission laws. @mbz2000 also KW coilovers . The monoblock’s aren’t with the car currently but if they are a must I’m sure we can swap them out.
Has anything been updated since the most recent sale other than the 19” Monolith wheels and the gauge faces from grey to white? Will the original 18” mono blocks be included with the sale? Forgive me if already stated it included in pictures - I just hadn’t seen that info. I drooled on this the last time it was offerred
