This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300E is a Sportline example that was first registered in Atlanta, GA and has remained in the Atlanta area throughout its entire life. The car is finished in Blue-Black Metallic (199) over Beige (275) leather and powered by a 3.0-liter M103 inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. In June 2021 a "C" service was completed along with a lamda adjustment, recharge of the A/C system, replacement of the vehicle's battery, replacement of three window regulators, and more. Features consist of a factory sport-tuned suspension, quick-ratio steering, factory Recaro seats in the front and rear, and a leather-wrapped sport design steering wheel and shift knob. This W124 now shows only 113,600 miles and is offered with a recent Carfax report, factory tool roll, two keys, factory literature, and a clean Georgia title.
The exterior of this W124 is finished in Blue-Black Metallic (199) with lighter lower cladding and black bumper trim. Sportline badges adorn the cladding of the front fenders to distinguish this example from other W124 sedans. Equipment includes a windshield-washing system with headlight wipers, as well as chrome accents, power mirrors, power sunroof with tilt function, dual exhaust outlets, and front and rear fog lights.
Factory Sportline 15” 8-hole light alloy wheels are mounted with 195/65 Solarus Starfire tires wearing 2018 date codes. The Sportline features wider wheels and tires than the standard 300E versions. A full-sized spare wheel mounted with a Michelin MXV 205/60 tire is stored below the trunk floor along with a complete factory tool roll and jack. Braking is handled by discs at all four wheels, and Sportline equipment includes a sport-tuned suspension with a lowered ride height featuring shorter, stiffer springs, struts, anti-roll bars, and bushings.
The interior features split Recaro front and rear seats upholstered in Beige leather (275) with a matching lower dashboard, door panels, and carpeting, while Zebrano wood trim further accents the cabin. The upper dash is black along with a matching black, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob specific to the Sportline. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, folding rear headrests, cruise control, and an aftermarket Sony CD head unit. Aftermarket WeatherTech floormats are included with the sale. The seller notes some seam wear on the driver's bolster, a coffee stain on the passenger carpet floormat, and slight sag on the B pillar trim.
The 390mm Sport Design steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows approximately 113,600 miles.
The 3.0-liter M103 SOHC inline-six was factory rated at 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. In addition to a smaller diameter steering wheel, the Sportline features a quick ratio steering box. In June 2021 a "C" service was completed along with a lamda adjustment, recharge of the A/C system, replacement of the vehicle's battery, replacement of three window regulators & motors, a new hood release handle and several bulbs. Four new tires were added in late 2019 and show 2018 date codes; although very few miles have been put on the car since replacement. The seller states that the outside temperature gauge is reading approximately 40 degrees too high and the power antenna does not raise.
The Carfax report displays linear mileage updates and one accident in 2016 where "the vehicle was not damaged". Damage was reported in 2003 to the rear of the vehicle. The seller notes that the vehicle has been with the same family/household since 2016 and the most recent 2021 change in ownership was a transfer within the family following the death of the prior owner/family member. Additionally, this Sportline is offered with a factory maintenance booklet, two keys, factory literature, and a clean Georgia title.

Congratulations to the seller and the buyer! It looks to be a beautiful car (just outside my limit unfortunately). Those seats sell the car all by themselves!

These are essentially the same seats the 500E's come with I believe.
Candid info on this car: I love it. I love driving it. It's like your own personal train. It feels more solid than my Toyotas or Infiniti, and handles like it's on rails. It doesn't need anything right now, as long as you're a fan of streaming internet podcasts like I am. Otherwise you may want to replace the antenna mast. I connnect my phone to the radio directly. It might look nice with a spare set of 17s, but that is a personal choice for its next life mate. Well-cared for MBs live many lives!
I AM going to miss these seats. They exceed every other car I have, for support and comfort I joke they're like sitting in a stick of butter, because of the color too. 😃

Enormous value to be had here as a Sportline edition. These drive noticeably better over a standard model thanks to the steering and suspension tweaks. Not to mention those seats are great

Since this has been asked, I will mention here that this 92 with M103 engine has no biodegradable wiring issues.
Pretty wild seeing a Sportline 124 like this- maybe I'm crazy but I feel like these are pretty rare
