This 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 is finished in rare Everest Green Metallic (816) over twin Artico (130) / Beige MB-Tex (135) and powered by a 3.2-liter V6 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include a dual pano power sunroof, power-adjustable front seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND audio, and CD changer. This W211 was sold originally by Mercedes-Benz of Oakland out of California and remained with the original owner until 2024. The car has shown registration in California through July of 2024, a short stint in New Jersey, and is currently titled in Alabama. The odometer reads just over 17k miles from new. This rear wheel drive E320 sedan is now offered by the selling party in Marietta, Georgia with factory literature, original paint, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Alabama title.
The car is finished in rare Everest Green Metallic (816) and features fog lights, a power dual pano sunroof, auto dimming mirrors, and a heated washer system. Minor rash on the front driver bumper can be seen in detail in the gallery and the video. The Carfax shows no accidents from new and the paint meter readings show the car to have original paint all the way around. The panoramic sunroof tracks were replaced earlier this year along with a recalibration by an independent Mercedes specialist to eliminate a small amount of wind noise the dealer missed.
Factory 16″ wheels wear Toyo tires measuring 225/55 that show date codes from 2020 with little wear. The underside photos and underside inspection segment show the brake lines, calipers, and rotors are in very good condition with lots of life. The suspension is in good shape per the video with no worn components. A new brake light switch was replaced in preparation for the sale using dealer ordered parts.
The cabin features seats upholstered in twin Artico (130) / Beige MB-Tex (135) with matching door panels and carpets along with wood trim on the dashboard, center console, shifter, and doors. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats with memory, automatic climate control, and COMAND audio. Original cloth floor mats and rubber all-weather mats come with the car. There is no wear on any of the wood veneer or the MB-Tex seats. The factory literature comes with the car in the factory leather binder.
The multifunction leather wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows just over 17k miles with no warning lights on.
The 3.2-liter M112 V6 produced 221 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque when new. A five-speed speedshift 722.6 automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. There is no aluminum corrosion in the engine bay detailed in the gallery. The video segment inspection also shows a dry undercarriage with no leaks or mechanical issues. Additional underbody photos are viewable in the gallery below along with an underside pre-purchase inspection by the seller. Factory literature, toolkit, a full-sized spare tire, and two keys are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows three owners, long term first owner ownership until 2024, and linear mileage updates on the Carfax. A startup and driving video is viewable below.
The seller has incluuded the following video:
While we love the W210 more than anyone else in the world, we will admit the W211 E-Class is a far superior engineering exercise from Mercedes-Benz than the previous model. These cars have such quiet cabins at highway speeds that it’s wild to think these cars are 21-years-old at this point. This particular W211 has the most reliable and durable V6 the company has ever built. They are incredibly understressed and just never have any major issues. They also produce good gas mileage and are known to soar past 300k miles with basic maintenance. Also, who doesn’t love green over tan? This 2005 E320 is arguably the nicest one to cross the auction block here on The MB Market. So many of these were bought and used as daily transportation. With them being two decades old at this point, a lot of them have been run into the ground. Now is your chance to own a time capsule E320 in like-new condition.

Hey! I won! 😊 Now I have a car I can get in and out of! Exciting! 😊
Very well bought IMHO. I mean go find another one (unless you have a warehouse of them like Dean). Congrats to @66911
Congrats! I thought it would go for more there. You bought a new e-Class for like 20% of the MSRP. That' aint bad.
I love my Green on Green 987S too. I'm just having some fun 😁.
Well... I was right about the new member part.
@Bad_Idea_Dante fortunately only the polite ones who acknowledge there are cars other than Pcars worth owning.

@zachmac Looks like the Pcar folks do exist over here.
Good to see @66911 in here. I was wondering when you'd show up!
New bidder. Now it might get interesting? Bid to own!

@Stuttgart_Steel which is why, having owned several M275s, I bought a car with fresh coil packs and ABC pump and hoses. :) Been VERY reliable (holds breath as he says it). But these W211s are Toyota reliable.
Maybe MB Market is more civilized than BaT because it doesn't attract the Pcar crowd? :) Wow, reserve off. Now it gets real!
The seller decided to make the auction NO RESERVE! This car is going home today.
@zachmac M275 is an airliner engine lol. It’s amazing until a coil pack decides to leave the chat.
@Stuttgart_Steel yup, which is exactly why I'm thinking swap the S600 for this. Then just drive and enjoy. But then that M275 torque kicks in!! :)
Yep... MBM is a good community. GSXR stopped commenting on BaT due to censorship, and C&B due to censorship and ridiculous flagging policies. Thankfully, MBM is still allowing free speech. Really nice W211 here in a rare color, without the M272 headaches. The new owner should be quite happy with it!
@zachmac God that’s a cool car! That said, dealing with a V12 and ABC in the daily is a bit more of a headache compared to this static suspensions M112 car, that’s for sure.
@zachmac - Happy to see a darkhorse roll through, but I got my money on the new guy. :) @stuttgart_steel - I'll be buying one of your cars soon. I'm sure of it. Now I'm headed out to enjoy my R129 and my W126 to get over the heartbreak of defeat.
Clapped out being a relative term. High mile W211s are still more car than a lot of new cars.
Also if you’re looking for a really low milage W211, it’s going to be a long time before one this nice pops up. So many are beat up at this point. All I see are clapped ones here in Atlanta.
I'm very tempted to replace my 07 Designo Espresso Edition S600 with this as a DD. But hard to justify being the S600 value is so low in resale market.
It’s a good community. The comments section is so much more civil compared to Bring a Trailer where paranoia and fear is a bug on that site.
@Bad_Idea_Dante we could still be a long way from sold on this one?
Enjoy @NguyenLong2010. I see you created this account to buy this car. Welcome to the community, friend.

@Stuttgart_Steel usually if I comb my hair right no one notices. :)
@zachmac You have a point.
@Stuttgart_Steel have to disagree, it belongs on the road racking up the 300k miles of life it has left!
$14,750 bid placed by @Bad_Idea_Dante
@124guy It really, truly is. It was hard to capture how nice it was. It might be one of the few cars I’ve come across that looks just as good if not better in person. It’s damn near an automotive artifact with its current condition. To quote Indiana Jones, “It belongs in a museum!”
This has to be the lowest mileage everest green w211 left on the planet! Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor
Final hours of the auction! I’ll be around to answer last minute questions. Good luck!

Good day! As the owner of this beautiful E320 - I want to thank @Stuttgart_Steel for his efforts to provide a new home for this rare, like-new condition car. I rarely get attached to a car but this was love at first site! It was a hard-fought auction win and I really don't want to sell it. However, the majority of my collection is in storage units and I just cannot bear for this one to be in one. It deserves the attention that I cannot give it - it is too pristine to not be admired daily! Good luck to all bidders and I know the listed seller will be happy to work with you! He is top-notch!
As we enter the final hours, I just want to say good luck to everyone. I get to interact with a lot of nice cars on a daily basis and this W211 is by far the nicest one I’ve seen since they were new cars. I mean that. This car is stunning. I’m so fortunate to represent it. Few things to remember: - Rare Everest Green metallic - ORIGINAL paint! - A 5 year ceramic coating and a full paint correction - New panoroof components - Original floor mats in like-new condition - Long term ownership - Spent most of its life in the Bay Area - Really tough M112 engine without fussy Airmatic - Most importantly, rear wheel drive! This is a collector grade car is a great spec. Hope to be chatting with one of you later today. Please ask any last minute questions. Thanks! Also please watch the mechanical inspection I included in the video.

Also I should mention this car has an AUX port in the glovebox. I plugged my iPhone into it to test it and it does stream music flawlessly. Little detail I forgot to mention in the video.
@Savethemanuals The car indeed has a Alabama title. However, the car is located in Marietta, Georgia with me. My friend, the owner, shipped it to me from his house in Alabama to mine in Marietta, Georgia to service and help sell. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.
$8,750 bid placed by @merchabit
@Stuttgart_Steel Hello! Title states Alabama. Is Alabama the vehicle location as well? Please advise. Thank you!
I was able to drive and interact with this amazing example of a W211. The metallic green paintwork takes on even more depth in person. The immaculate interior materials benchmark what Mercedes brought to showrooms in 2005. Whomever lands the win with this auction will be owning a truly special car.
@Homthtrnut2021 Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. My house is like a 40 minute drive from the airport or a 25 minute drive from work if you come during the day. I'm close by.
Which airport Would I fly into from Las Vegas to pick it up?
I’ve enjoyed chatting with a few of you behind the scenes. Please, if you have any questions or concerns, PM me or comment below. I’m here monitoring the auction and am ready to answer any questions you have. Thanks everyone!

@donna Thanks for the comment, Donna! That CLK was a great buy. I loved having it around. Glad it’s treating you well.
I can highly recommend this seller and owner, having bought my clk from the same combo here on the mb market in October. I almost wish I was shopping for another car! This beautiful E320 would definitely be on my list. Good luck on this sale ~

The MB Market boys are fast — new pictures are uploaded! I have paint meter readings and the service invoice of the stuff I did to the car in the gallery now. Feel free to take a look. Thanks everyone for the positive interactions so far.

Stunning, like new!
@dean_Laumbach Thanks for the background information and the endorsement! I was wondering about the paint — water just falls off if it. They did an outstanding job on the ceramic coating and the paint correction. It’s like staring into a high altitude deep green lake in the sunlight. You sold an outstanding car and I was psyched to see a Dean car in the flesh. It didn’t disappoint.
An absolutely magnificent W211. I purchased this car this past summer out of California, and after shipping and recon, I was upside down when I sold it in August !!! No shame, as I feel that selling only top quality cars will only pay off in dividends in the future. Win some, lose some. When I did buy the car the panoramic roof was inop, but luckily the OEM replacement parts were available from Mercedes-Benz. @Stuttgart_Steel has done a fantastic job of representing this vehicle. The car was fully paint corrected this past summer by The Original Mobile Detailing here in New Jersey and they applied a 5 year ceramic coating. This is so much car for the $$$$ !!! I actually thought about buying it back from the owner for personal use, but my daughter already has a very clean W211 very much like this one, but not as pristine. My plan is to put that one in my private stash when she graduates college. This would be a huge step up, but I would never drive a car this nice in a New Jersey winter. I can tell you firsthand, that the new owner of this car will be very pleased with their purchased. @Stuttgart_Steel There are only a handful of sellers I really respect and admire in the classic Mercedes-Benz market for their honesty, and attention to detail. You are on that short list. Best of luck. Dean

@tcstraker No issue at all! It was a good question and I like seeing people do their due diligence on cars. Makes me all warm and happy inside.

@stuttgart_steel you are 100% right...even the engine serial number starts with 112 vs. 272...I'm so sorry for zoning on that! (sadly there wasn't even champagne involved...). Thanks for the quick reply. T
$5,000 bid placed by @Oldtown
@tcstraker Unless I’m woefully unaware, the M112/3 family of engines never had balance shaft issues. That was an issue that appeared in the next generation of engines used in the W211 family called the M272 and M278 V6 and V8 power plants. Earlier engines had that issue in the E350 and E550 cars with MB making engineering revisions post 2008 (I think) to fix it. The issue was the timing chain sprocket on the end of the balance shaft being made of a softer metal than the timing chain creating advanced wear — therefore slack in the chain. M112/3 cars have magnesium intake manifold leaks, rear main seal seepage, and they eat valve cover gaskets. Those are the “big” issues with the 3 valve motors which this one having none of those problems since the milage is so low. Shoot me a link about balance shaft issues on M112s if I’m missing something — I’d like to be educated if that’s the case.
@stuttgart_steel what a beautiful car. Do your records show any evidence of balance shaft replacement? According to Last Vin, it looks like engine serial number 112949 31 893084 is within the recalled range. thanks and HNY

Hey everyone, welcome to the auction of this absolute time capsule of this E320! I’m a big fan of the W211 chassis and personally own a very clean one, but this example blows mine out of the water. I am helping a good friend find a new home for his car. He is a southern based car collector and only buys the nicest, low mileage examples to have in his stable. This is an ex-Dean Laumbach car so it came to me very clean but we did a couple services on the car including a new brake light switch and a sunroof calibration so the car is dead quiet at highway speeds. The reason my friend is selling this car is because he bought a few more collector cars and ran out of space. He begrudgingly chose this one for The MB Market. Please look through the gallery and detailed video above. If you have any questions please leave a comment or PM me. I am available for phone calls and FaceTime if needed. The car is also available for in-person showings. I need to upload the paint meter readings and the two service records still so stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by!
