This 1998 Mercedes-Benz E320 was purchased new through Santa Barbara Auto Group out of Santa Barbara, California in November of 1997 and remained with the original owner until the current private party rescued the car earlier this year. The original owner exclusively brought the car to Santa Barbara Auto Group its entire life for service. Finished in Alexandrite Greet Metallic (891) over Pebble Leather (205), the car is powered by a 3.2-liter M112 V6 paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. This W210 currently shows 107,524 miles on the odometer and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, tool kit, CD player, integrated cellphone, and a clean California title.
Finished in Alexandrite Greet Metallic (891), the paint on this example shows nicely and is described to be in great condition with no clear coat damage. The seller photographed some paint chips on the rear bumper and along the passenger side impact strips. Features include an electric sunroof, fog lights, and rain sensing wipers. The headlights are original and show yellowing. A paint matched OEM front license plate bracket is seen in the trunk. The Carfax shows no accidents or damage noted.
Original 10-Hole light alloy wheels adorn all four corners and measure 16x7.5. Light curb rashing appears on the wheels’ lips and the OEM center caps are shown. 215/55 size Cooper Lifeliner GLS tires are seen all the way around with 2013 date codes. Brake fluid was last serviced in 2018 at 104k miles. A power steering pump was also replaced then too by the Mercedes-Benz dealership.
The cabin is trimmed in Pebble Leather (205) across the seats, door cards, head rests, and shift knob. All leather surfaces are reported to be original and in great condition. The original tan floor mats remain with the car and are included in the sale. The Burl Walnut wood veneer is reportedly free from cracks, fading, or sun damage and can be found on the dashboard, door cards, and center console. Additional options include integrated cellphone, multi disc CD changer in the trunk, telescopic steering wheel, memory powered seats for the front, and power sliding/tilt sunroof.
The digital odometer shows 107,524 original miles. Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and a digital odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature and a digital clock. The screens show no signs of failing LCD pixels and functions properly.
The 3.2-liter M112 V6 was rated at 221 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired with a 722.6 automatic five-speed transmission. The transmission is reported to shift smoothly. An oil change, new side mirror lenses, and an A/C recharge was performed prior to sale due to the car sitting for three years. The Carfax shows this E320 was dealer maintained and serviced by the book whenever needed. The transmission pan shows some surface corrosion in the underside photos.
This W210 is offered with factory literature, an original tool kit, dealer services shown on the Carfax, single ownership until 2024, and a clean California title from the seller.

@GregF I agree- this car is unapologetically exactly what it is and doesn't need to be anything else. I have an E320 too and the M112 is a total workhorse. It'll never let you down and in green, you can't argue! Good luck to the seller!
@Jrad1600 During an auction thoughts pertaining to what you would have done to prep the car should stay in your head, they offer nothing constructive to the auction and they shame the seller. Why do that? Regarding the car, I think this engine tranny combo is one of the most robust in the modern era for MB cars. Did they get a little plasticky in the interior and exterior? Yes. But even so these are incredibly durable and safe and really comfortable cars. My E320 4matic wagon has double the miles of this sedan and it is still mostly squeak and rattle free - just a really solid platform that returns 25mpg on the freeway. Maintenace is DIY friendly and there are hundreds of videos to help you through any project. Parts are inexpensive and readily available. People seem afraid of a cheap MB, but these are every bit as reliable as any Toyota I've ever had. Get them while they are still cheap! Best of luck @seller!

@Jrad1600 Guess it just wasn't a good enough cleaning job. It's alright. I'll still be happy to see her go to a good driving home with someone who recognizes the treasure they have.
I love my W210 and this one looks to be in good condition - but I'll be the one to say it. Why in the world would you not vacuum all the hairs and crumbs out of the interior and buff the headlights before listing this car? All of that would take an hour and would do wonders for this listing.
@gershom No maintenance is needed. Everything is up to date. I had the oil service done, filters replaced, fluids topped off. She's ready to go anywhere!
What type is maintenance is needed?
