This 2008 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC wagon was originally sold at Euro Motorcars of Bethesda, MD in December 2007 and later resold as a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes from the same dealer in 2011. It has remained in the Mid-Atlantic region its entire life through its 2021 acquisition by the seller in Maryland. It is finished in Periclase Green Metallic (300) over Tan MB-Tex (144) and shows 101k miles from new; 3k of which have been added by the seller. Power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a five-speed shiftable, automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel-drive. Factory equipment includes the P02 Premium Package with wood steering wheel, rear side-window blinds, hands-free communication system, third-row seating, heated front seats, TPMS, a glass moonroof, DVD navigation, satellite radio, CD changer and more. Recent service includes four new Arnott air springs, all new spark plugs, new idler pulley, serpentine belt, power steering pump/belt, both front CV axle shafts & cover/boots, washer pump & reservoir, new brake pads/TPMS sensors, and much more. This well-sorted E350 wagon is now offered with partial paper service records, a recent Carfax report, factory manuals, two keys, and a clean Maryland title.
The body is finished in Periclase Green Metallic (300) with chrome accents around the beltline, front fog lights and bumpers. Equipment includes a glass sunroof with tilt function, roof rails, power lifting rear tailgate, and a rear window wiper. The Carfax shows one accident reported to the front right corner in 2017 and close ups of the paint condition are viewable in the gallery.
Factory 17″ seven-spoke alloy wheels were replaced with new units at 75k miles that are wrapped in new Dunlop Signature HP tires with 2021 date codes. The wheels appear free from major curb rash or other imperfections and close ups are viewable in the gallery. The front and rear Airmatic air springs, brake pads, sensors, front CV axle shafts & cover/boots were all replaced in 2022, and a differential fluid service was also performed. The seller states that the right front wheel splash guard is missing and the center front splash guard and right rear swing arm show signs of damage/wear.
Tan (144) MB-Tex upholstery is accented with matching carpets and burled walnut trim on the steering wheel, dash, shifter, console and all four door panels. Interior equipment includes a Harmon/Kardon Logic7 sound system, dual powered and heated front seats with memory, a power glass moonroof, a wood & leather steering wheel, satellite radio capability, manual rear-side sunshades, and the P02 Premium Package. Standard features consist of dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlights, and power accessories. The driver’s seat bottom has been previously recovered and detailed images are viewable below. A set of aftermarket rear entertainment headrest units are installed and pictured below. The seller states that the factory sunroof recall inspection has not been performed but a free recall inspection is open and available at any Mercedes-Benz dealer for this potential recall item.
Rear-facing jump seats with headrests fold into the floor when not in use, as demonstrated further in the gallery; and the power rear tailgate opens to house a power cargo cover and manual cargo/dog net between the third and second rows.
The wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and a multifunction display. Digital readouts on each side display fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows approximately 101,800 miles; 3k of which have been added by the current owner.
Under the hood is a 3.5-liter V6 that sends power to all four wheels through a manually-shiftable five-speed automatic transmission. Output was rated at 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque when new. Recent service includes all new spark plugs, new idler pulley, serpentine belt, power steering pump/belt, and a new washer pump & reservoir.

One more thing. My thanks to the guys at the MB Market. You guys do a great job!
@hows I checked your profile and saw you were a dealer. Watching the auction was all for naught anyway, the boss said NO! Enjoy the car!!
@howS Yeah I was hoping to stay under $10,000 with some of the extra work it still needs and the fees plus flying out to get the car it got to high. Enjoy it!
@CICBarkeep naaa I am a dealer, I have sold cars here and hundreds on BAT too. I just needed a wagon to replace one of our family cars and I couldn't find what I wanted in other markets. I am also a sucker for green cars.
@batto513 Too funny. I'm in the exact same boat.
Thanks for bidding on my car, everyone.
@batto513 that was my last bid and I almost posted that in case you wanted it more than me. I think the price was a grand more than I wanted to pay plus the fee but I need a wagon and I like green. A fair bit of the heavy lifting in service has been done. I am sure it needs more.
@howS Yeah I was finnaly going to give the boot to my minivan with this ride. On to the next one.
I'm going to tell my wife she broke my heart although something tells me @howS wasn't going to let this one go.
well, I paid more than I should have. But I am a sucker for green cars and I need a wagon.

Green on tan Benz wagon? You really can't go wrong.

@Masondixoncraig agreed on a car of this age and mileage its expected and not really that big a deal unless the entire car is painted or there is lots of filler in areas. This one appears very tidy and well serviced. Thanks for the answer.
@howS . . . interesting and excellent idea. I don't have a paint meter handy to take any pics of the readings, but this a good idea for the MB Market to consider adding to their tips and recommendations for auction photos in the future. To the point this observation brings up, there are clearly one or two places on the car where minor paint work has been done. There is some minor road rash on the nose that has been covered, and I detect some slight changes in the paint shading on the left rear fender panel. Appears to be nothing serious, and pre-dates my ownership of the car by some time. Wasn't at all a concern to me with a vehicle from 2008, but worth knowing about.
@howS . . . great question. Two keys. Both working.
Sorry if I missed it..... How many keys?
I would love to see some paint meter shots. They'd go a long way for the bidders

@CICBarkeep Hey CIC. I have not attempted to remove them myself, but yes I agree. Since they are aftermarket installation, they should not be difficult to remove.
I'm assuming the "entertainment centers" can be removed?
A startup/idling video and a video of the underbody have been added to the listing.
@KingKitty Thanks for sharing your expertise here! This may help explain why the other two mechanics said nothing. Based on your comment here, you have deep expertise and are probably right about the bushings.
@Masondixoncraig - Just to clarify (again): Was the damage they reported to the guide itself, or were they talking about it needing bushings? For what it's worth, picture #150 is the transverse control arm (front), not the rear suspension. I've been under hundreds of these cars, and from what I can see in the picture (146) without the cover off, nothing is amiss with either rear guide (they're not called "swing arms"). I suspect the suggestion regarding wear pertained to the condition of the bushings.
@Masondixoncraig That comment should say “head rests.”
@avemaria Correct. Head rests are easily removable and may be stored. Also, the floor does fold flat. The passenger seat rear pocket has a broken plastic frame, and at some point a previous owner affixed it to the seat as you see it in the pictures. The left side of that pocket is normal, the right side frame is broken.
@avemaria Hi Avemaria. Correct. That is true. The driver door is not completely closed in that pic. Great pick up!
I assume the third seat headrests can be removed and stored above the spare and the sear folds flat, correct? (#127) The passenger front seat back doesn't seem to fit properly (#115/#105) ? Was that due to an attempt to fix the broken map pocket? thx
in pic #50/51 the drivers door wasn't completely closed? (edit- I tried to delete but as a new user still don't know how to do so and I see the other pics which show the door closed and lines up as designed)
@KingKitty Hi KingKitty, Thanks for your comment and question. Picture number 150 in the listing above shows the right rear suspension from underneath the vehicle, including some of the swing arm. We are also posting a video tomorrow that shows the underside of the car in a vid. Fully transparency . . . we've had the entire car carefully inspected by multiple mechanics, and of the three who looked at it only one commented on the right rear swing arm showing any signs of wear. This isn't at all noticeable when driving the car, and the mechanic didn't indicate it needed to be replaced soon. Also, to be clear, this is not something I would have fixed right away myself using this vehicle as a daily driver. In an effort to be fully transparent about everything we know about the vehicle, we shared this observation from the mechanic because it came up during a review of the vehicle.
Can you clarify where the damage is on the right rear swing arm? I don't see it in the pictures, or if it's there, I'm not seeing it. Thanks!
It is worth mentioning that one commenter asked (in the email feature) whether or not there is a quote for the potential cost of fixing the right rear swing arm. We noted in response that the car is perfectly drivable as is, and shared an estimate that parts for this job are likely in the range of $150, and then your local Mercedes mechanic mechanic will likely charge at least a few hours of labor for this job. So, all told we estimate this to cost between $350 and $500 to fix depending on your local market. Also, "how to" videos are available on YouTube for the more adventurous home mechanics out there.
Thanks for your comment! The only intention here is to get this beautiful Mercedes to a good home at a fair price. Hopefully it is clear that some real TLC has been invested in this one. :-)
@LWB250 Thanks for your comment! The only intention here is to get the beautiful Mercedes to a good home, at a fair price.
“WASP-ified set”? Not sure this is an appropriate comment. Maybe this wagon will command more here than it did in the recent eBay auction?
